It's not idiotic, it was mention before Strange New Worlds was being discussed, then all talk of it vanished literally for years, so thinking it was abaddoned was understandable. And yeah Tilly's season 4 plotline seems to be setting her up to be transferred to Star Fleet Academy series from Discovery, she's the O'Brian of Canada Trek, but not as much suffering.
"Canada Trek?" Then why did you include Picard? That's not filmed or produced anywhere in Canada. If you're referring to that Tales of the Federation series Akiva Goldsman was talking about, then the impression I was under is that it would be a more traditional anthology series, like The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits where each episode is its own standalone story.
Yeah they were too infatuated with Berman-era Trek, but its nice to know they've moved on and they haven't kept harping on their dislike of newer Trek.
I don't understand CBS... don't they know they have to inform Kurtzman about being fired? He's never going to leave if they won't tell him.
I haven’t seen much of the Discovery cancelled/Kurtzman fired stuff for a while, have they finally given up? These days the clickbait is “<show name> just changed canon FOREVER” and it’s something ridiculous like a new combadge.
Well someone who has posted in this thread was adamant like a week or 2 before the renewal announcement that it was cancelled.
I love the generic publicity photos covered in arrows and circles trying to convince us we missed some clue.
Have those same TNG era fans go refresh their memories by re-watching TNG S1 - "Code of Honor", "The Naked Now" or "Justice" and get back to fandom at large.
I find it telling the standard response from NuTrek fans, when people criticize NuTrek, boils down to "well, classic Star Trek was shit". What is your point? What is your gotcha? Classic Star Trek had bad episodes? Duh! But unlike NuTrek fans, classic Star Trek fans were never in denial or had any illusions about that.
Well, wasn't me. I never said that there would be no STD season 5, only that the production had not started. So, who was it?
