That's a hard life mate...........I rather like the Netflix UI. It's pretty simple.

Those were hard days - especially as I was barely a teenager. Bit odd that my first jobs were essentially gained for the sole purpose of buying Star Trek videos!
Viewing figures for streaming sites are always going to be all over the place due to them not having strict schedules. Sense8 gained a boost when it got cancelled as a lot of people didn't know it existed. OITNB and 13 Reasons Why are good examples on the list of shows that have been rewatched/watched and still making an impact despite there being no new content in the time frame.
It's simple, but problematic for me. There's a frustrating amount of shows we don't see as most are 'recommended'. Sense8 was something I watched well after release as it was buried under everything else. There's been a few films I've found by accident and other shows I never knew were on there until I directly searched for them.
Which in theory isn't a big deal, but surely impacts the numbers with selected shows being pushed forward.
What was worse was getting excited at a Sunday repeat of a Star Trek episode (a TOS that I hadn't actually seen before) when looking through the TV guide only for it to say "Except in Yorkshire and Tyne Tees, where the Super League Show will be shown"... (some rugby crap).
That's true. If I didn't have Netflix, getting it for Discovery would be a no brainer. CBSAA, on the other hand, I'd have been very reluctant.
Netflix overseas does not have near the selection as Netflix us.

Signed up for Netflix because of Star Trek. Which is exactly why Netflix paid so much for it - to gain new subscribers.
Being in France, it is the very first time I can follow a Trek show so closely.

I could but I am hearing people have trouble with the full version, and honestly, I already pay for several streaming services, mmo's, etc. If every network wants to charge a streaming fee for some show they will hold as proprietary, eventually there is a breaking point. I only watch Disco on CBSAA. I haven't watched anything else on CBS in years and I can't imagine why I would so I'd just be paying more for them to fix their own problems.
I like Discovery, but not that much.
I've had no issues with the full vrersion and in fact i've heard of more issues with the commercial free version when it goes in and out of commercials but as always YMMV.
While I do grumble at things being left off (shows like Shameless, American Horror Story, Gotham etc are all well behind) and other shows exclusive to the US due to distribution rights, there is plenty. But most of it comes down to Netflix Originals that have been developed over time. Such as Discovery, which counts as an 'original' as they have exclusive rights to it.
CBS:AA is still in the early days. It will develop more, much like Netflix has after their early breakouts like House of Cards and OITNB.
And let's be honest, CBS has a nice library of shows available to watch, it's just programs that are unlikely to entice geeks. I mean, how many here are actually watching the other CBSAA exclusive show THE GOOD FIGHT? That's the problem with trying to use Star Trek to get subscriptions, the only people subscribing have little interest in seeing the other programs that aren't genre shows.

Given I had access to the US version back when VPN's worked, trust me when I say that we got the raw end of the deal when Netflix started blocking people out of regions they didn't reside in. The UK library was a piece of shit in comparison, and only thing that has saved it has been quality Netflix Originals this past year.

Probably, but while I've been watching netflix originals, there have also been a few shows that have not been picked up by any channels here (that air on other channels in the US) that I've got hooked on.
Agreed. Some Aussie things too. I recommend "The Strange Calls" as a bizarre Australian comedy (wish they'd made more than 6 episodes of that... though I suppose it could have gotten tired). Also Dreamland (which I believe in Australia is called Utopia)... a bit like 'The Thick if It" meets "Parks and Recreation".
For people who have netflix, Toast of London is well worth your time, especially if you want to see Shazad Latif play an annoying hipster called Clem Fandango
