How do you rate Deadpool & Wolverine?

Based on the runtime of 2 hours and 13 minutes, it would seem that it's the theatrical cut. According to the Google, the Rogue cut is 2 hours and 31 minutes.
Damn, that's a shame. I hate how streaming services appear to be allergic to releasing more than one version of a film. Disney+ also doesn't have Logan Noir (the black and white version) which I wanted to watch as part of my prep for Deadpool & Wolverine.

They do have multiple versions of some movies, they have IMAX and non-IMAX versions of a bunch of recent movies, and I believe they have the theatrical and edited for content versions of the first Avatar.

Yeah, but that's the exception not the rule. And honestly, I don't care about the IMAX versions since I don't even have a TV. I care far much more about director's cuts and extended editions.

$30 for a 3 month old digital movie? Don’t be ridiculous. Anyway, I bought both of the steelbooks which come out soon

Finally saw this. It was... fine. Fun, certainly. Reynolds and Jackman have such chemistry it would be hard to make the movie not fun. I still liked Deadpool 2 better, and thought the Cable team-up was a lot more effective from an emotional standpoint.

That said, this was far and away the most meta of the three Deadpool films. The entire concept of Logan's death causing the Fox universe(s) to collapse and die, with Deadpool trying to find a Wolverine that can hold them together again and using the whole film like a Fox-iverse clip show and send off was certainly novel. Probably the best use of the multiverse concept thus far, in terms of actually using it to say something.

Disappointed Brolin's Cable didn't get at least a cameo. Feels like they really did that character dirty here, but oh well. For that matter, really all of the Deadpool supporting cast got shafted. They really missed out on a chance to have Colossus comment on Wade's choice at the climax of the film.

All told, the weakest of the three Deadpool entries, but still worth watching. I would rate it pretty middle of the road for the multiverse saga. No Way Home remains the strongest film of the bunch, and I think Multiverse of Madness was a better film than this (though not nearly as fun, granted). But it's not the complete disaster that Quantumania turned out to be either.

Hey any publicity is good publicity - and it fits the theme of the movie. They all know that beyond possibly a technical Oscar nom for SFX; there's no way they're nominating Renolds or Jackman or anyone else for acting Oscars; but it sure gets the trade papers talking as the film gets near to it's digital/streaming and physical Blu-Ray release.

Good marketing strategy.

I rewatched the movie earlier this week and it was every bit as awesome and funny as the first time. This is definitely one of the top 5 comic movies of all time.

I feel they're a trifle unfair on Emma Corrin!
Yeah, Honest Trailers has become more and more mean-spirited these days. And honestly (no pun intended), I'm surprised they barely commented on Chris Evans' return.

...although I did love the Secret Invasion joke at the end.

I don't know if people listen to the Scriptnotes podcast that John August and Craig Mazin do but they recently had an episode featuring Ryan Reynolds and it's quite interesting because he talks about the film a lot. Episodes only stay free for a while but it should be available for a few weeks more. If anyone's interested it can be found here.

I finally saw this. And it was plenty of fun. The plot didn't really matter, it was just something to wrap around the jokes and cameos. A film made for the fans. Wolverine actually looked cool in his full yellow outfit. One of my favorite parts was "Flame on!" That was wonderful, I loled. Dead Ant Man cool too. I thought they were going to die, and this would be the film that ended those 2 characters being played by those 2 actors. Not so. lol

I have a laptop and my furniture points to aesthetically pleasing direction. I don't worship at the temple of TVs like some people. ;)
