But they're not enjoying it and mocking it at the same time. The fan response seems to be "Yes, the movie acknowledged how the Multiverse is overall terrible and never should have been done at all."
And there you go again, speaking in absolutes. Where are you getting those impressions from? Certainly not from this thread and definitely not from me.

The people praising this movie are loving it for mocking the multiverse concept and saying how it's completely terrible...ignoring stuff like Loki and Spiderverse.

And this film used fanservice in lieu of a real plot.

Would you mind showing me at least 10 comments from this forum or others where people have said that? Because honestly, I have heard no one say that.
Perhaps some clickbaiters on YouTube, but those don't count. They'll say anything, mostly negative, to get views.

Really enjoyed watching this film on opening weekend. I think they could've used just one more screenwriter.

Some things I would modify:
-- Not have him break up with Vanessa
-- Make his application to the Avengers more flashy (like, he throws a bunch of tied up badguys he didn't kill onto their doorstep while in full suit)
-- Better fight cinematography at the siege of the Ant-man base

Loved seeing Wolverine and X-23 back, the N'Sync opening and Deadpool being confounded by Nicepool.

Finally saw it and really enjoyed it. It might be the lest enjoyable of the three Deadpool films but it's still a huge amount of fun. Sadly had a few cameos spoiled
(Blade, X-23, Elektra) but thankfully others that weren't (Evans, Cavill, Tatum, Sandford) and I was still pleasantly surprised with Blade et al because I expected them to be blink and you'll miss them cameos but they played a substantial part in the story.

If it had a flaw I'd say that there's a limit to how long I can watch two indestructible guys stab each other and the film did exceed that limit, but minor things.

Cast wise everyone was great, Reynolds and Jackman have great chemistry (but we all knew that) but outside of the titular two the person who most impressed me was Corrin, I thought she was great and I hope that isn't the last we've seen of her in the MCU.

A-

I agree those sequences went on too long for that very reason. I've seen a lot of people say they loved the Dodge Odyssey sequence the most, but really, that one bored me the most. It just didn't matter and it should've been far shorter.

I'm glad to see someone else enjoyed Corrin's performance as Cassandra. I know a few other people in this thread have also said it, too, but I want to highlight again how wonderfully creepy she was. I feel that her performance was largely overlooked and/or underappreciated.

Random thought- you know who should’ve played a Wolvie variant? Dougray Scott.
During the variant sequence, I was really hoping he would pop up. I would've taken him over Cavil honestly.

Are they talking about the length of the fight in the Odyssey, or the pure venom behind it? I didn't care that much about the length of it but the unbridled rage after the venom beforehand was well-deserved, and it finally (mostly) dealt with the tension between them. And for that reason I think the impotence of their rage at each other made it worthwhile - they needed to see the ultimate emptiness of it.

Absolutely agreed about taking Dougray Scott over Cavill though. Cavill was fun and meta but I'm already tired of people saying he should be the new Logan and Scott would've been a much funnier deep cut imo.

I'm fine with the rage and venom of it. I just didn't feel like we need to see that fight go on as long as it did because of their indestructible natures.

Honestly, I don't think I've even heard anyone talk about Cavil being the new Logan. Which is funny because I know all about Tatum's attempts of doing a Gambit film and I feel like that's a much deeper cut than fancasting Cavil. I don't think it was nearly as pervasive as John Krasinski's fancasting.

It's always possible they asked Scott and he said no. While I don' think he has too many regrets over what happened he must sometimes look at Jackman's career and wonder, what if? (Though to be honest much as I like Scott as an actor I think Jackman has a definite X factor (sorry) that Scott probably doesn't so even if he had been Wolverine I doubt he'd still be playing him now.)

Yeah, no harm to Dougray but they really lucked out with that M:I2 shoot overrunning and his having to drop out. Jackman really did click with audiences.

It was interesting 'cos I recently ready Patrick Stewart's autobiography and the part where Jackman is cast is really sweet. The cast all seemed to like this relative unknown who'd shown up for an audition and thought he had a certain quality, but were concerned about his accent. After the audition Jackman basically said "Well you won't see me again" and they were all consoling him when he got called back in. Stewart and the others figured Jackman was getting bad news but would maybe get a small role as consolation, next thing they know a producer comes out with an apparently very shellshocked Jackman and says "I'd like you to meet Wolverine!"

Here is some concept art that featured Ben Affleck's Daredevil and Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider. There is a missed opportunity here. They could have had a scene with the Cavillrene telling Daredevil what his mother's name was.

Yeah, it was. Probably didn't realize it was suppose to be Wanda and thought it looked like Blake.
