It is implied that Deadpool lives in the same timeline that Logan took place in. The whole point of the movie is to save said timeline. Laura being in The Void implies that either she or her timeline had already been pruned, which makes little sense on the surface if she is from the timeline trying to be saved.

It's not completely unworkable. If one assumes that Laura made a decision that caused a branch reality after the events of Logan and was pruned by the TVA as a result, then that Laura would still be the "same" Laura from the Logan movie with the same memories, just as the Loki from the TV series was the "same" Loki from the first Thor movie and The Avengers, but not the same Loki from The Dark World, Ragnarok and Endgame.

Logan was set in an alternate future where the mutants are almost extinct and the x men are long gone. The x men are still around in the Deadpool movies
Do we know that the X-Men as a team are still around? We saw three X-Men at Deadpool's birthday party, which took place in Vancouver Canada. Perhaps they escaped America into Canada just as we saw Laura and her group do at the end of Logan.

"Logan" was supposed to be in 2029, while the Deadpool movies are usually in the present day of whenever they come out. So if Laura is the same one from "Logan", and Deadpool takes place in the same universe as "Logan" then that means she's the Laura from the future of Deadpool's own timeline who somehow ended up in the Void...

...Best not to think about it much.

The Westchester incident happens in 2028, Deadpool 3 takes place in 2024 before the TVA shows up. They retrieved Deadpool from 2024 before Logan dies in 2029, then Deadpool travels with the Tempad to after Logans death to check and see if he really is dead. And at some point a few years down the line Laura get pruned.

Adding to the headache is Logan saying he's over 200 years old when XMOW established he was born in 1832, which would set Deadpool and Wolverine at 2033+, which contradicts the movie's own narrative.

And none of these are complaints on my part. I have long since accepted the reality of X-Men movie continuity. It's just a fun mental exercise for me on my part.

Why are we complaining about this now?

Deadpool 2 had the music box depicting the death scene from Logan years before all this. In which Deadpool then talks about Wolverine dying. Logan takes place before Deadpool 2!

We don't know what year that Logan was from. If he was never poisoned in that timeline he'd look exactly the same.

Some of the things brought up in this thread today got me thinking about mutants and the MCU on a larger scale. See my thoughts here...

Ryan Reynolds paid tribute to some of the many big returnees on Twitter:

Since the most recent one is only nine hours ago, I imagine more are to come...

Ryan says the Deadpool and Thor scene will be followed up at some point. Sounds like he's serious, not joking.

I thought Logan Logan was dying of cancer as a result of his adamantium and it finally outpacing his healing, so surely all Wolverines should suffer the same fate in the end.

But yeah, it's a comic book movie, an X-men movie and a Deadpool movie so none of that matters. Plus, Deadpool ran amok with a time machine at the end of DP2. And the TVA is out there making changes all over. So it can be whatever it wants to be, IMHO.

There's no reason to assume that Deadpool was ever in the same timeline as "our" X-Men. His Colossus and Juggernaut are clearly different people to the one from X2/Last Stand...I'd go so far as to say that maybe a lot of the X-Men movies were actually in different timelines for the same reason. It would certainly help explain a lot of things. :D

I’m confused also by how Deadpool was in the MCU timeline and able to apply to be an Avenger. Or did his own TL have its own Avengers and a Happy Hogan who looked like MCU Happy?
