I tried to edit a previous post and accidentally deleted it. Since @Mage quoted it, I feel no need to repeat it. but that's why there is a response to a post that doesn't exist.

The more and more I think about it, and reading the insights others have brought to it....
I'm down with it. It's an interesting twist, and as @Grendelsbayne pointed it out, it might end up being nothing more than a cameo. Like a certain actor from a different franchise in Deadpool and Wolverine. A cameo as Doom in FF and than a completely different actor for Doomsday.
If it is a bigger role..... As @Christopher has pointed out, RDJ is a very talented and faceted actor. IF this is basically just suit and mask and voice work, he would make quite an interesting Doom.

What I find rather odd, is that so far, we've heard nothing from the man himself. One would expect a interview with somewhere by now. Perhaps after or during D23, he'll talk about his return to the MCU.
Or maybe he'll wait to comment on it until he's actually filmed something.

I watched the film again tonight. It hit me different this time. I don't know why but I think I liked it even more on my second viewing. I was really with it. Maybe I was over all the cameos and surprises and this time paid attention to the themes and story more. Lots of foreshadowing in the film that you really notice the second time round.

My favorite cameo was definitely Blade. He hasn't lost a beat in my opinion. I almost wouldn't mind seeing him return to the role full time. Maybe Secret Wars?

Wesley Snipes as Blade!!!

That was something I never thought I'd see again. And his "only one Blade" comment was excellent (not for the poor guy who played him in that forgotten TV series, though:lol:)

A very fun movie, and I'm glad Disney realise and acknowledge the MCU has been going downhill since Endgame.

Shame they couldn't get Vinny Jones back as Juggernaut, but that's really nothing against all the cameos they did get.

At the end of the day, Blade and Johnny were the only two characters that were not spoiled for me, and they were the best two. Gambit was spoiled by a careless poster in this very forum.
