Mike Grell's Cosmic Boy couldn't look any worse.

The outfit could be crotchless or include pasties.
If you're referring to what I just hit on Google images of Mike Grell Cosmic Boy, I'm not sure there would be anything left to refer to as a Costume, if it was crotchless, his junk and his nipples is about all that's covered in his outfit

I still sort of like it. You think they'll wear what we think is cool in the future? Did they wear what we think is cool in the past?

I don't know how it stays up. Double-sided tape or spirit gum? Oh, wait, it's Cos, it's probably magnetized. That's why he's the leader.

It is true that as far as skin-bearing LSH dude costumes go, Tyroc's is better.

Fine is fine, fine is average, fine is a C+. Superman's design shouldn't be a C+.

Fine - "of superior or best quality; of high or highest grade: fine wine...(Informal) in an excellent manner; very well: He did fine on the exams. She sings fine.

It's an improvement over the old one, which makes it good enough - it's taken at least sixty years to get a substantial revision to the long-johns.

Admiral does the numbering of the books really matter that much? I am rapidly approaching 20k books in my collection and really the numbering doesnt matter any little bit to me at this point. Everyone brings up Action and Detective but does the magic number of 1000 matter to anyone who doesnt have every single issue? I applaud DC for trying something new and exiting in order to attempt to draw in new digital readers with new number 1 issues. Going digital with issue 880 makes little sense from any marketing perspective.

Well as someone who hasn't collected comic books in years, the renumbering has definitely gotten MY attention. This feels like an actual, real change they're making, and I'm looking forward to finally being able to read a comic without having to do tons of extensive wikipedia research beforehand to know what the heck's going on. lol

I think this one is the most accurate to the word's modern usage:

" 6. satisfactory; acceptable: that's fine by me "

Acceptable is one thing, admirable is another. Superman's outfit is in some ways a basic example of color theory and composition and it has held up so long because it holds together so well. Taking away the yellow and minimizing the red in that area throws the whole thing out of balance.

Transvestite Transylvania calling! Dr. Frank N. Furter wants his outfit back!

My biggest problem with the new costume is that it puts an invulnerable man in armor for no good reason. If anything, they should have made the costume sleeker and more minimalistic.
