DC to REBOOT???

^ I thought so too. The Batwoman logo looks pretty much the same as it always has. The Justice League logo of course is quite different in white bold. I kind of like the Justice League Dark logo.

^ Now that you mention it Broc, it does indeed. As for being inspiring, they're just logos. While some jump out some aren't totally awful. I don't think they're meant to be inspiring or anything like that. That's usually the actual cover's job.

Batwoman is exactly the same and great. The Justice League one is terrible. Note the blue and white aren't flush. That just doesn't work. If it were, I would upgrade it to "all right."

Aside from Suicide Squad and Resurrection Man, these all suck. It's like they don't know what constitutes a good, eye catching logo. The Batwoman one is especially craptastic.

Batwoman has a fitting logo, likely designed by either J.H. Williams III or Todd Klein, or both, which meshes perfectly with the aesthetic of the book.

So far I've found most of them to be pretty much just OK. They're not absolutely horrendous IMO, but they could certainly be alot more interesting.

Are you unhappy with the DC relaunch? Are you going to Comic-Con? Then Join the DC Original Protest Walk!

Anyway...

As I recall, that is Night Girl. She had superpowers but only in the dark. She was a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes.

You have to love a character whose powers can only be described in what sounds like a dirty joke and/or "That's what she said" line.

"...and I have superpowers, but only in the dark."
"That's what she said."

I'm sure someone has done it, but I cannot think of any use for Triplicate Girl's powers that 1)cannot be replicated by any three other people and 2)is not entirely pornographic in nature.

^ There was a funny issue of the threeboot where each one of Triplicate Girl's duplicates went out on a date with separate guys and all brought them back home at the same time. I can't remember which issue this was it's been a while since I read it. I'd have Luornu on the Espionage Squad.

Actress and stunt double(s).

Maintaining a secret identity by being seen in multiple places at the same time.

Practical jokes.

:p

Ha, I remember that.

I liked her in the cartoon, though. Even though her powers were still extra-lame, she was a good demonstration of how "flight ring + force field" is already a pretty serviceable superpower, and she was extremely useful in a support role, especially given that other than Brainiac and Shrinking Violet, she was the only one shown to have any technical skills whatsoever.

Also, the animated character design was awesome (this is true of everybody, but she and Phantom Girl are the standouts), and her power was the most visually interesting of all of them, until they futzed with it in Season 2 and added a bunch of unnecessary effects.

So I don't hate the character or anything, it's just,* well, replication is only a convincing superpower when you can create your own personal army of selves, and don't care about any of them dying. An ordinary person who can become three ordinary people just isn't in the same league as a guy who shoots lightning out of his butt, a chick who can trade punches with Superman, and a guy who can collapse you into degenerate matter.

Her Silver Age origin is terrible, too. Not quite as terrible as the Ranzz siblings' (I might bet a dollar that electric eel-related deaths by misadventure skyrocketed in 1961), but about as bad as Superman's post-Action Comics #1 origin when it comes to evolutionary cause-and-effect.

*Also, I wanted to talk about a two year old program of limited appeal and didn't want to start a whole thread about it. If LSH is not the best superhero program ever made, it's only because you're technically counting The Venture Brothers. Even classics like Batman: TAS pale in comparison.

Well, that's better than mine. The only one I could come up with is "cleaning her apartment more efficiently," because she generates only one person's worth of garbage, but has six hands to carry it all out. The Legion of Marginally Superior Heroes!
