He has addressed the issue since the relaunch. He said the Earth One graphic novels are moving ahead and aren't affected by the relaunch.

Back to the Super-marriage thing, a little compare and contrast: being married kills stories, but being a (rotten) parent is still okay, since Damien Wayne is still scuttling around.

If you're thinking Stephenie Brown being in it will make it out of continuity, that shouldn't be the case since Gail Simone has already said she does plan on using her and Cassandra Cain in her Batgirl if no one else does.
On going implies movement. Earth One vol II is still in the garage. Superman and Action will be on the road and traveling.
I'm not thinking that Stephanie Brown in it will make it out of continuity, but it will mean it's continuity will have to be explained. If she were just showing up as a character, it wouldn't be much trouble, but she's showing up as Batgirl, which means that she will have been Batgirl (probably with Barbara still as her mentor) which makes me wonder whether Barbara as Batgirl is going to be healed or have her just be a clean slate. I was hoping clean slate, but now I'm not so sure.
As for Oracle's Inc. story, that can easily be explained away since it wasn't in the actual Batman Inc. title and if I remember correct, it was never reffered to.
It's confusing. Gail Simone's interview at Newsarama suggested that Barbara was Oracle -- but she also said that Barbara would be younger than she is now. And then we found out this week that Killing Joke is still in nuDCU continuity. (Link.) So now I'm back to the thought that Batgirl is a crimefighting cyberspace avatar, or possibly Barbara is wearing an exoskeleton that gives her mobility.
I don't really get Cassandra Cain.
I actually like the character and the aesthetics and large parts of the backstory, but there's this preposterousness at the heart of her that is almost impossible to overcome. Basically, how would creating a borderline-feral human being translate into a creating a world-class assassin?
I'm willing to play the "it's comics, just roll with it" game as much as anybody, so I'll accept the unlikely proposition that people who aren't taught to speak can instead become versed in "the language of violence," or that this would be a particularly useful skill in an age where an assassin's first tools are firearms and explosives.
Yet, I'm pretty positive that reading, writing, and speaking would be essential skills for someone in the business of infiltrating foreign countries, killing people therein, and then exfiltrating themselves out again. I mean, according to Batgirl, Genie is a successful assassin in waiting, not someone who requires a full-time staff of nurses and social workers to take care of her even though she's 54.*
Bear in mind I haven't read many Batgirl comics. I'd be happy to have it explained to me why David Cain thought this was a good idea.
*And yeah, Genie's story is absolutely heartbreaking, so don't actually read it unless you feel like being depressed. The Wiki entry doesn't include her current status, which I wound up investigating. Iirc, she lives in an assisted living facility for developmentally disabled adults in Los Angeles. Poor, poor thing.
I wonder if Batgirl is going to be a "Legends of Dark Knight" style series. In other words, it is going to take place "in the past" when Babs could still walk. In Post-Crisis, we really haven't had any long-term Babs-as-Batgirl tales (as far as I can remember, anyway).
Greg Capullo sketches for Jim Gordon, Joker, and Harvey Dent. The Joker sketch reminds me of the Killing Joke version of the character. I think I'm gonna like this book.

I took House of Ulster's comment to mean the DC honchos...or especially Dan DiDio and Geoff Johns lol. All of this Silver Age rehash stuff I believe is coming from them. Not that it is a bad thing but why bother having a "modern era" if you just harken back to the past?

I would have been right five years ago, or ten. Doing the arithmetic on the total monthly sales of either DC or Marvel comics in modern times shows that the majority of people who have ever read any of these are mid-to-late wave Baby Boomers. As far as the comics themselves are concerned Marvel and DC are boutique publishers catering to a small hardcore audience.
Random thought that may or may not even reflect reality once the books are published, but there are some moments recently in DC comics that I'm going to miss if the new line-up goes as it is.
One example is the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Karen Starr right now. I like her attempt at helping the world outside of being Power Girl, with Bruce helping her play the "rich benefactor to the world" type role.
Another thing I've been enjoying is the way people are noticing that Dick is not the original Batman. References are scattered throughout the Bat titles but they go from amusing (Dick's Batman voice not being "growly" enough) to some truly touching moments like Gordon giving him advice in "Gates of Gotham #1".
I've also really enjoyed the web of character interactions currently being developed in "Batgirl" from Wendy's story arc to Batgirl coming into her own.
I fear such things will be sacrificed after this relaunch, which saddens me because they're some of the nicest moments I've read in DC books in years.

Power Girl will be showing up in one of the relaunched books, but DC hasn't told us which one.
