With all this romantic talk - I wonder Barry and Iris are still married...
The answer to most questions about Barry Allen as a character, bless his crewcut soul, is a great big Who Gives A Fuck? One might as well ask, "is he going to run late for every appointment in his personal life, again?" He's a sweet, good, boring man.
Good question. Lois and Clark has overshadowed everyone else's marriage in the DCU. Not that there were very many couples left that were married.
A boring man who, interestingly enough, seems to be the linchpin in the rebooting.
Still, their marriage is a strange on, even for comic standards. They had a natural dating/marriage evolution. Then she died, but not really.
Right before her death, for a good few years before, Barry and Iris had a ton of relationship issues. Soapy stuff that would have been right at home in the late 80s/early 90s comics. But this was in the 70s (Barry, for once, was early)!
Anyway, she died, but not really. Then Barry almost married someone else, but she ran off when Barry started to snap necks (but not really -- depending on how you look at it). Then Barry was reconnected with his dead wife in the future.
Now, they don't reference that (or Barry's two kids that he, presumably, never met).
...except when Bart shows up calling Barry "Grandpa".
Look. This comes down to a simple truth about the new DC Comics.

Uhhh...Dinah and Ollie were broken up as fast as they were married thanks to the Cry For Justice series. I believe they're separated if not outright divorced. I haven't followed Green Arrow since that debacle.
Geoff Johns is writing the Aquaman ongoing and he has a declared affection for Mera since Blackest Night so you can probably bet they're still married.

I wonder if this reboot thing is true if it will be a complete reboot.If that works than it is really good and would prove very beneficial for many people.
As already stated in the thread it's not a complete reboot...DC is calling it a relaunch and has said some elements of the previous continuity will be retained in the new one. As to if it works and is "beneficial" to people, we'll have to wait and see after September.
Yeah, it can't be a complete reboot because Batman Incorporated is going to be in continuity and continued in Early 2012 for the conclusion to Morrison's epic that begun in 2006ish. I wonder if that's why intentionally Oracle has not appeared in Batman Inc, so they don't have to explain that away. But, Stephanie Brown is showing up in it in issue 9, so I'm not sure.
And yet, as far as we can tell, it's ongoing.
What's so interesting about it? The Announcement was made, like, two weeks ago. And why should JMS concern himself with the DCU, when he's just retired from writing monthlies? Also, with "Earth One" having been the major hit at book stores that it was, there's no way they're canceling the sequel.
As for Batman: Earth One, Geoff Johns seems to have been busy, lately. That man should get his priorities straight. Either make it work, or give BEA to someone else.
