To each their own, but Reeves, Routh and Cavill looked way better than Corenswet will.
The suit in the modern times is just too goofy.

I think the opposite. The first thing my wife and kids commented on was the colour and palette of the trailer. My sarcastic son said something like, "Oh good! A Superhero movie that's actually in colour!" Begone drabness--let comic book movies that actually look a little like the comics they're inspired by return!

The colors are great, I don't disagree. The brightness is actually welcome by me.
But everything else, from the story leaks to the suit.. eh.

Never heard that phrase. Google comes up with something about babies in the womb.
I assume its refers to modern takes on old properties? Updating designs and such? Well, this is a Star Trek board, we don't like that here. ;)
Its a term used in multiple business practices.
Make sure your presentations can move products forward, not remain stagnant.

I think you have very, very different expectations for this kind of thing than the majority of real Superman fans who actually like the character and want him to act like Superman.
So everything I've seen of Corenswet's Superman has been great, and I love the new suit.

So, you are in a position to determine who is a "real" Superman fan and in what numbers the mythical number of fans exist? This assumes what you think is "acting like Superman" is correct for this phantom majority. I suggest a "real Superman fan" would be very familiar with his long comic book history to the degree where your comment would not make sense...and it does not..

Amusing how you have complained about others "speaking for others" as if their opinion is the universal default, yet you hypocritically do the same when it suits you, and its not the first time, either.

So everything I've seen of Corenswet's Superman has been great, and I love the new suit.

So you do.

Dude, I'm usually quite in the same ball park with your opinions, but telling someone they are not a real fan is not cool.

Real fan, been a fan of Superman since I started reading comics.
I hate the new suit, and have since the first reveal and still have not warmed up to it, and at this point I don't think I will.

Its loose and still has the appearance of an shark-resistant wetsuit. The actor and costume should be powerful on sight alone, but that's not the case with the new actor/costume.

The idea that Superman has to be drawn with huge muscles doesn't really mesh with his powers though. Superman should be muscular, yes, but for most of his history he didn't look more muscular than an average man who went to the gym regularly. He looked less strong than a human weightlifter. Reeves and Routh actually had what I thought was the perfect Superman body. Cavill looked great as a more pumped up Superman, but it doesn't mean that every Superman actor needs to look like that.

Quick poll: Do you like the new suit, yes or no?

(Please specify whether you are a real fan or fake fan so we know who is voting for what).

I've been reading Superman since Curt Swan was drawing him in the 70s and have read many issues from all eras of Superman with the exception of the 90s.

I like the new suit, although it does look like it was put together by an amateur tailor in some of the shots we've seen so it wouldn't surprise me if he has a new suit at the end of the movie or in the future if we ever get to see this version of the character again.
