Captain .... Series

A Captain Terrell/Reliant series would be fun (no Chekov, please), provided there were an actor whose style is similar to that of Paul Winfield.

I'd also enjoy seeing a Rachel Garrett/Enterprise-C series; however, as Tricia O'Neil is 69 years old, another person would have to be cast in her role, as well.

I could see Dina Meyer taking over from Tricia O'Neil.

Captain Sonya Alexander

Kate Vernon as "Captain Sonya Alexander: Sonya is a firebrand and hard driver, she has a reputation as not wanting command of anything more than her ship. She is second only to Garth in the number of Klingon ships destroyed during the war."

plus... she was molly ringwald's older sister in PiP,

and her dad was dean wormer from animal house!

AWESOME!! :techman:

The adventures of Captains Pierce and McIntyre

This.

Give the Stargazer a face lift with a true deep space assignment, put some characters that wouldn't quite be "flagship of the Federation" material aboard and I think you have an interesting premise for a series.

Captain Chekov or Kira or Chakotay or Reed simply don't interest me.

Agreed. While I doubt very much it would ever happen, I would like to see a young Picard series. I think it might be better to see him as a young officer, PRIOR to being captain, actually, but still the focus of the show. That right there would be different, as in every series the CAPTAIN is the focus. How about a junior officer we know is destined for greatness one day (a la Lower Decks), with the series ending (or waiting until late in the series) with Picard as captain.

So basically, the Star Trek eqvalent of Smallville?
No more like the horatio hornblower or band of brothers miniseries' is what I was thinking. But why does every series have to focus on the captain? sure the captain should be in the cast and a strong character, but using sg1 as an example, Gen Hammond was the Sgc commander, but the series revolved around the sg1 team.

Tbh I'd be surprised if it happened, as Dorn himself has said that his skin can't handle the prosthetics anymore. He's apparently got some kind of skin condition as a result of all those years of wearing the forehead, so he's naturally quite reluctant to return to that.

Re: Richard Robau Captain, USS Hornet, Commanding 3rd Squadron

Richard Robau
Captain, USS Hornet, Commanding 3rd Squadron
The former captain of the Kelvin. 12 years later Robau is one of the most respected captain’s in Starfleet. A friend of Garth’s.

...sounds pretty sweet to me too! :techman:

can't wait for Axanar! :klingon:

One small problem.

Which canon Trek character would you want to see Captain a series of their own?

Robau is only canon in JJ's Alternate Universe, and 12 years later, he's still dead.

I guess it depends whether one considers fan films canon. I tend not to, since it seems to be selectively applied to specific fan films, not all of them.

No fan film will ever be regarded as canon by CBS, no matter how good it looks.

Some people who are backing Axanar have completely turned me off to the project. Which is a shame because I thought it had some nice prospects as a fan film.

But I'm tired of people trying to make these projects out to be more than they are. Just be happy to make a fan film. Just be happy that people are willing to commit some of their resources and time to such a project. That a love exists for Star Trek to make something like it possible.

They wield "CBS" like it's a sledgehammer that makes their project somehow more important than it is. It's tiresome.
