Camera Error

Hi

If you watch the episode Whispers (season two) and pay attention the the top left corner of the screen you will see a strand of blond hair stuck on the camera. This take place between 41:50 and 41:54, just thought people would like to know.

Here are a couple more gaffes to look for...

In "Half a Life" (season four), when Lwaxana and Deanna are in quarters talking in front of a mirror, you can see a microphone reflected in the mirror.

In "Unification II" (season five), there's a production crew member reflected in the glass statue in Sela's office right after Data nerve pinches Sela and they are walking out.

In many eps of TNG and DS9 you can see tape markings on the floor to show the actors where to stand when they stop walking. You can see these in Quark's and on the promenade most clearly.

The two I cited were TNG. Sorry, didn't notice the forum this was in. I linked in here from the main TrekToday page.

That's not all. In fact if you look very carefully at the screen during almost any episode, you may be able to see that what you are watching is actually a fictional television program produced on Earth in the latter part of the twentieth century.

Yeah, right. And NASA never landed on the moon.

;)

I've never noticed this but now that you bring it up, I would like to try to notice it if I can.

Do you have a specific example or two from DS9 of an exact episode and time in the episode where this is visible?

In Broken Link when Worf and Garak fight in the Defiant Jeffries Tube junction, they knock the hatch out of one of the "closed tubes" and the soundstage can be seen briefly.

really?, i didn't know that i might have to get my dvd out and check it out, but thanks

In "Waltz", there's a brief moment (I think it's around when Sisko is fixing the beacon) when an unexplained elbow appears on the left for a couple of frames.

In "Birthright, Part One" when Bashir departs the Enterprise-D he's wearing white covers over his shoes (for carpet protection, or for sound, I don't recall the reason). It looks like he's wearing sneakers. This is mentioned on the DVD, in fact.

Yes, I know it's TNG, but hey, it's Bashir. Close enough in my book.

Sisko used to have hair, then he grew a beard, then no hair , then no beard but he kept a little goatee.

Do these count?

Also, once...I think there was a camera error that made Odo turn all liquidy looking for a minute.

It's very quick. If you watch the hatch you'll see the event, but you'll probably want your remote handy to confirm that you're looking at soundstage.

In "Rocks and Shoals" Remata'klan gives a weird twitch- just his face... I'm not sure if it was intentional due to withdrawal, or if they did a cut and his head wasn't exactly in place... its an awfully fast movement. Anyone else notice?
