Burn Notice: Season 4 - Discussion & Spoilers

Fiona and Jesse seek information on a weapons runner, while Sam and Michael get into a hostage standoff at a bank.

I wish they'd give up on trying to make Jesse fit in with them. He's annoying.
See I like it. The longer he stays with Micheal and crew, the angrier he's going to be when he finds out the truth. Every episode it just builds his cred as a great nemesis for Mike too..

Excited for tonight

Well that was certainly one of their better episodes in a while. After the crappy biker gang "job" plot in the premiere, this was like night and day.

I like it too, for the same reason. Jesse is going to be really really :censored:.

Also, Navi Rawat continues the trend of hot female guest stars. :)
I must be crazy but I don't think her body is that hot by Hollywood standards. She worked on Numb3rs because she wasn't too hot to match with Charlie. When she was identified as a player because of her "hot bod" that she would naturally show off I thought she would be one of the women to run/jog/walk with a sweater wrapped around their waist because they wouldn't want to show.

I really liked tonight's episode. A good "thinking on your feet" kind of story.
I liked this one, too. I really do prefer the episodes that emphasize Michael's ingenuity and efforts to help/protect people who can't fight for themselves.

I was also happy to see Rawat again, but I don't think I'd characterize her as hot. She strikes me more like "the girl next door" (in this case with a gun).
And apparently she's going to be back.

Well I think she's hot. There's only one weekly thread we can use to answer that once and for all! :p

One thing that is always, always false about the spy talk on Burn Notice, is that real NOCs (no official cover operatives,) have to lead humdrum lives as cover. It's not rushing in with exotic expertise to save the day. That's what Michael does in his client work and that's what's interesting. The more spy stuff, the faker the show is. The problem with Jesse is not the actor, or even the character. It's the way of how he reminds me that Michael is just dying to get back into the game of drug running, kidnapping, murdering, etc. ad nauseam for no good reason. Blecch.

Agreed, Burn Notice really gets all the awesomeness if you ask me. I'm still anxiously waiting for the Burt Reynolds guest role to come.

There have been some classic guests in the past and even more to come. Cody Bell has been great so far, though. They pick the series regulars well too.

A doctor asks Michael for help when his clinic is targeted by drug dealers.

I caught the season premiere on demand this afternoon. It fit the bill that I was looking for -- some light entertainment. But (so far) Robert Wisdom feels miscast in his role (which is a shame, as he was so perfectly cast in The Wire) and the juggling of several different story threads wasn't very satisfying. The most the biker gang provided was a good car and bike chase. Otherwise they just filled the time in order to keep the season-long story arc at a turgid pace.

And, as always, there was too little Bruce Campbell. The recurring character with all the piercings who does magic with money probably had as much time on screen.

"Neighborhood Watch" was the best of the season and finally an episode that felt "Burn Notice." I don't like the Jesse character so his deemphasis was welcome.

The only issue I had with "Neighborhood Watch" was trying to get past "The Shield's" David Aceveda as the client.
