Billie Piper and Tennant return for Big Finish

As excited as I am as about more Tenth Doctor stories with David Tennant, I'm less thrilled with the pairing with Billie Piper. Rose is okay when she was with The Ninth Doctor, but then she became a bubbly, obnoxious mess with The Tenth Doctor.
I would much, much prefer more Donna Noble stories with Catherine Tate.

By the way, where did you find this image? It's not on their official site or on their Facebook or Twitter accounts. They only place I've seen it is at GallifreyBase and a much larger version, too.
Rose was at her best with Nine, I agree. However, I'm hoping BF will dial back the psycho aspect of her relationship wtih Ten and instead bring back the more toned-down Rose of series 1 back.
If they set the stories before that period of Rose being madly in love with Ten, they could at least lay the ground for her affection to transpire. Or whatever, I just hope for the best!

On the plus side, John Dorney, Guy Adams, and Matt Fitton, Big Finish's most reliable writers, wrote the three stories and Camille Coduri is returning as Jackie, which isn't surprising considering she already returned for Torchwood alongside John Barrowman.
Of course, like the last set, there's a special limited edition version. It'll probably be the first limited edition set I'll pass on.

Awesome! I was a big fan of Rose and it's exciting to see her reunite with 10. Plus, Jackie in in this set and 10 confronts the Ice Warriors.
I suppose a subsequent box set will bring Freema Agyeman back, and then they'll be 3 for 3!

I sure hope so! Although Freema Agyeman might be too busy with Sense8 (assuming it gets renewed). One of the things I've gotten out of Sense8 (as well as Law & Order: UK) is how clearly Davies misused and underwrote Martha for Agyeman and I hope Big Finish can improve the character as it has with other less-regarded characters (The Sixth Doctor, Mel, Adric).

I knew it wouldn't be tough to talk Billie Piper into the recording studio for a day or two, not with Tennant leading the charge. Assuming her experience with it goes well, the Ninth Doctor Chronicles vol. 2 can work with Briggsy, Billie and John about as well as it would have with Eccleston. Freema's almost certain to bite as well, as soon as she gets a bit of free time.
Wonder how hard it'd be to get Michelle Ryan to return as Lady da Souza for a box set. Talk about a missed opportunity...

That trailer... well, it was a bit rubbish.
I wish someone could convince Nick Briggs that less is more. The two and a half minutes of random snatches of dialogue from the three stories felt incredibly disjointed and incoherent.

That's why I don't even bother with the trailers anymore. The last one I did listen to was The Time War and that came off rather uninspiring, and I sure hope that's a reflection on the trailer and not the series.
Think they are doing a final wrap up for Sense8 which could be on her work list at the moment.
Beyond Sense8, she may have work that's outside the United Kingdom, or even nothing near any of Big Finish's studios. Or, gods forbid, she just doesn't want to do Martha at this time and focus on other projects.

I wonder if Big Finish would ever do tenth Doctor audios with Majenta Pryce (the DWM comics), Emily (the IDW comics), Gabby and Cindy (the Titan comics), or even the companion(s) from the Doctor Who Adventures comics. Thought they may not see the point, the need, or the market for these little-known companions.
Maybe if they decide to do a comics adaptation line, but I'm doubtful on that count. Tennant is a very busy man, and while he has a long history with Big Finish, it's possible his willingness to come in is so he can work with his previous cast mates. I'm pretty sure that was a strong motivator for the first set because he and Catherine Tate love working together. I'm not sure if he would be inclined to do a set with a character he probably has never heard of (I could be wrong, maybe he does read the comics), unless it's an actress he has worked with before.
