Best KLINGON..ever

Maltz was actually a fun guest spot at the time, because John Laroquette had been popular on "Night Court," which turned out to be a hit show. I remember hearing Star Trek put out a casting call in Variety for guys 6'4" or over for the movie, and he fit the bill.

Worf's brother, hands down.

I liked KURN. But I think they totally messed him up on DS9. I would rather have seen him on 'the run' than to rob his memories like that...bad plot choice IMO...very NON-klingon...

I'm glad you reminded me of this travesty!!! I am going to bring Kurn back, THE REAL BAD-ASS KURN, in my Fanfic..I miss that dude!!!

Having recently re-watched Sins of the Father, I have to agree, Kurn was a really cool badass Klingon back in the day.

I was always a fan when Klingons said things boisterously. The first one that comes to my mind is Gowron and his crazy eyes. But Kurn was really fun in Redemption. "It is a day to celebrate for tomorrow we may all die." I think that line sums up TNG Klingons fairly well.

My vote for best Klingon goes to.....Benjamine Sisko, in DS-9 espisode
"Apocalypse Rising" after Dr. Bashir did a "little" plastic surgery he was one knarley Klingon. He probably drank more blood wine then any of the real Klingons and he kicked a real Klingons ass, when he found out that he had killed one of his friends.

For real Klingons, I would have to go with Worfs brother Kurn, his preformace in "Sons of Mogh" convinced me that he was a REAL Klingon at heart, mind, body, soul and spirit...

1) Worf
2) Kang (very close 2nd!)
3) Martok
4) Gowron
5) Grilka
6) Kor
7) B'lanna
8) Alexander's mother
9) Alexander
10) Arn Darvan

I have to agree with Herbert, Worf. The Klingons are a rival/ally to the Federation in their own right. They are not some warmed over projection of the USSR or other 20th Century totalitarian states. In the Trek verse the Klingons evolved into a successful version of Scottish Clans and Lairds that had cohesion; enough to have an empire. It was clear that they have a conscience, but not a human conscience. Worf, played by Michael Dorn, captured that.

Gorkon was cool. He was actually quite a pleasant guy.

I like the Duras sisters too.

Chang, plz. Can't say I'm particularly attracted to Klingons, but...

<3 Christopher Plummer <3
