I always like Chancellor Gowran, even when he became reckless with the Klingon forces in the final season of DS-9 and Worf had to dispose of him, I always liked his style and passion and he had the best facial expressions of any Klingon I had seen in Trek. When he offers Worf one last chance in "Way of the Warrior" when he decides to stop the attack on DS-9 he tells Sisko "We never Forgive or Forget" his expression is priceless...

Resistance is Futile

Fun fact about Gowron's eyes. It all started in TNG's second season when Robert O'Reilly guest starred in the episode Manhunt and unintentionally did his scenes with a wide-eyed glare. When he was later cast as Gowron in S4's Reunion, Jonathan Frakes (who was directing the episode) kept urging him to do "the eye thing." O'Reilly had no idea what he was talking about and eventually had to rewatch his scenes from Manhunt to remember what this "eye thing" was.

I'd party with him and follow the General into battle.

Agreed. Most Klingons freak me out, but I wouldn't mind serving with Martok. He has your typical Klingon sense of honor and love of battle, but he also actually *cares* about the crew under his command. And he's an ally of the Federation as well.

Fun fact: When JG Hertzler auditioned for Martok, his audition consisted mainly of throwing a chair against a wall.

Rycher: Who is that Klingon you mentioned?

^ Sisko did make a pretty good Klingon.

I'd have to go with (in no particular order):

Kor (TOS and DS9)
Kang (TOS)
Martok (DS9)
Kolos (ENT)

Kurn I liked some of the time, but he was too much a flat and cardboard-cutout Klingon at other times.

For the half-Klingon hottie brigade:

K'Ehleyr
B'Elanna Torres

TOS style: Kor
Movies: Kruge
TNG style: Gowron

I like Gowron in those cut scenes from that Trek video game. You can watch them on youtube.

The Enterprise era Klingons are the overall lamest, mostly quick-tempered, half-stupid thugs.

I like the way you seperated them..so for me..

TOS: Kor
MOVIES: Chang
DS9 Style: Martok

He's the guy from Generations who yells, "We are cloaking! Our shields are down!"

And then they blow up.

He's a total "that guy" in the scifi genre. I don't know the actor's name, but he pops up in everything.

Oh, that one. It's Brian Thompson. He's played a couple of different Klingons (that one, and Klag from "A Matter of Honor"), also the Romulan Admiral from ENT (Valdore).

one of the best things about Martok is he recognises humans aren't the weak namby-pamby much-rather-talk-than-fight types the majority of the Empire depicts them as. he seems to recognise the Feddies are good warriors and honourable as much as Klingons are.
