Bernie Mac Dead at 50

This is one actor/comedian I truly enjoyed so I was shocked when I heard the news. RIP Bernie, You are still one of the TRUE kings of comedy!

Man, that really sucks. I haven't seen a lot of his stuff, but everytime I HAVE seen him he was fun as hell to watch. He was just so damn full of life and such a great presence on screen. :(

farewell Uncl' Bobby B. farewell cinematic Bosley mk II.

he was funny in those two, the only roles i've seen him in...

I had no idea he was ill, either.
Rest in Peace, Bernie. :(

J.

This just came as a complete shock to me when i read it at another forum. Still feeling shocked.

Rest in peace Bernier, you will be missed :(

I knew he was ill, but I didn't think he was going to die from it.
Peaceful rest. :(

The King is dead.
Long live the King!
(Whoever that may be.)

Carlin, and now him. Damn. Comedy is really needed in these times.

I had feared this would happen when I saw the news on his hospitalization.

He was genuinely funny, real without being crude for crudity's sake, and his sitcom was one I could actually enjoy alongside my mother on visits to her. Shame to lose him to illness at the age of 50.

:salutes Bernie Mac:

Though, you've got to love the laziness (or is it just plain ADD?) over at CNN.com...

Uh...online news sites rarely have an entire story on it's main page, just a blurb. You do see the "Full Story" link right?

Uh... my dad has been a broadcast journalist for over 40 years in D.C. I am very well aware of how the CNN website (and others) disseminates its information.

(I was referring to the last article linked at the bottom of the page. ;) )
