BigFoot,

Nice posters. I knew you were a fan, but I didn't think it was that deep. I can understand why though. ;)

Thanks for the compliments guys. :)

And tomalak, I'm not actually such a HUGE fan of Underworld (I mean, I really liked the first movie, I have it on DVD and have watched it about six times altogether but that's about it), I just really like those posters because they look wickedly cool.

It's not really as much about the film, as it is about the poster. For instance, I love all the LOTR movies, but I don't really care much for any of the posters from those movies.

^ Yeah, I agree about the LOTR posters. I don't know what it is, really, but I don't care that much for many of them....

^Well, I own the early one from Fellowship that has the Argonath statues on it. I think it looks pretty cool. :)

But I'd agree that the final posters with all the characters on them are nothing special.

Really? While I agree that some are not that awesome (but that's just my personal distaste for character posters) I really liked some of the posters for the first two movies ... okay .. I guess I don't really care for many of them either ... :D

^ Well, I guess that when you consider how massive those movies were, the posters were kind of disappointing.

I mean, some of them were okay...but some of them I just didn't care for at all.

Even some of the ones of Orlando-the-Exceedingly-HOT weren't that good.

^^^ Oh oh oh but there's that one of Aragorn looking soulfully right at you over the top of his sword (ahem) ...

*sighhhhh*

Anyway - hi everyone!! Back after a small hiatus (went away on holiday and then was kinda overwhelmed by the sheer amount to catch up on at the BBS!) ... *grabs an Andorian ale*

Anyone else read the Worlds of DS9: Cardassia and Andor book? I really liked it, both stories were extremely well-written.

Nice to be back! :D

Welcome Back Llantia. :)

BigFoot,

Agreed about the LOTR posters. The movies I didn't care for all that much, but the posters kinda helped (In a minor way) me actually see them. I ended up disappointed, but oh well. ;)

Hey, we're on page 20 of the thread already. I've gotta say, this incarnation of it has gone by very quickly. :)

Oh guess what I get to watch tonight? Underworld: Evolution! Hehehe, I can't wait.

As much as I like Aragorn (one of my favourite characters from the films) that poster is just... there. It's not cool, in any way (at least IMO). :)

Anyway, welcome back!

And yeah, I've read all three of the Worlds of DS9 books and I enjoyed every single one of them. The Cardassia story is quite good, but I absolutely loved the Andor story. :)

Welcome back Llanita. We've missed you. ;)

*pours himself a glass of Andorian Ale*

To Llanita!! :D

If you liked that book try and check out all the other DS9 relaunch novels as they are consistently good.

Alright, well I just watched Underworld: Evolution and I really liked it. Basically it was a lot of fun and Kate look as wonderful as ever.

^ You know, I think I might have to watch this one a few more times before I can decide. The first one definately had a bit more of a WOW factor, especially the first time I saw it. Seeing Selene on the big screen for the first time was definately a very memorable experience.

OTOH, now that I've seen the first one a few more times it doesn't really have the WOW factor anymore, it's just a very fun film. So yeah, I honestly don't know. I really enjoyed it, and I think I will again the next time I watch it (which I have a feeling will be very soon lol). :)

If you haven't seen Underworld: Evolution yet, and you liked Underworld, you should definately check it out. :)

I didn't think it was a LOTR love fest. Two people said that they were disappointed in the movies, but loved the posters.

You should, they're a lot of fun. :)

Actually you misunderstood my original post about the LOTR posters. What I was saying was that I really love the movies, yet I find all the LOTR posters totally underwhelming. Unless you weren't referring to me. :)
