Hey peeps, started to read ST DS9: The Left Hand of Destiny ... finally gonna know what happens after the series ended on TV
It's sad though .. a lot of names and things remind me of how cool it was to look forward to a new epi of DS9 .. and later other Trek ... and now there's nothing. Okay ... I still have loads of books to read, and I really need to catch up on my TOS ... but still ... it's not the same.

I read A Stitch In Time! I was going to re-read it and try and organise my thoughts on before posting ... but I want to squeee first, dammit! I LOVED it! The structure of the book was really interesting, and the examination of how Cardassian thinking is different to human.

I was watching Meridian last night and noticed that Jeffrey Combs' character, Tiron, ordered an Andorian Ale.

EDIT: It's funny because in Enterprise he plays Shran, an Andorian.

I can't wait until Weyoun is introduced. Combs is my hero. He's one of those people whose presence in a poor episode can make it bearable.

Not that there were many bad DS9 episodes.

I never noticed that little detail with Jeffrey and the Andorian Ale in Meridian (probably because I skip the episode almost every time I watch DS9). That's the best piece of foreshadowing ever!

I completely agree with you there. Combs made an excellent villain, both on DS9 and ENT. I never cared much for the character of Brunt because I don't like "Ferengi episodes" in general, but Combs' portrayal is the only thing that makes me watch episodes that are Brunt-heavy. Combs is Trek's best recurring actor, IMO.
