Bad Starship Names

USS Dead Parrot

I think it should not just be a starship name, but the name of an entire class of ships. That way, you get to name the ships in that class things like the USS Ex-Parrot, the USS Not Pining for the Fjords, the USS Bereft of life and rests in peace, the USS Expired and gone to meet its Maker, the USS Ceased to Be, the USS Joined the Choir of the Invisible, and so on.

USS Don't mention the war.

(or perhaps several of them 'Don't mention the Dominion War' for a Gamma Quadrant exploration vessel, 'don't mention the Romulan War' for patrol service near the Neutral zone, 'don't mention the Cardassian War' for service near the Cardassian border, and so on).

The USS Sir Bedivere the Wise (NCC-517) was the first Arthur-class vessel to be commissioned after the prototype was cleared for service. But other illustrious starships were soon to follow: the USS Sir Lancelot the Brave (NCC-518), the USS Sir Galahad the Pure (NCC-519), the USS Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir Lancelot (NCC-520) which had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor IV, which had nearly stood up to the Vicious Ferengi of Bristol Prime, and which had automatically ejected its own warp core at the Battle of the Badon Nebula... and the aptly named USS Not-Appearing-In-This-Film.
