Avatars and what they mean to you?

Mine is a picture I took of a child's drawing of R2D2. Its also my facebook avatar. I don't think I will ever change it on either Facebook or here, partly because I'm not sure how, and partly because I'm kind've stubborn.
I like the fact that my avatar and my username are Star Wars and/or Lucasfilm related. I think there is room for all kinds of nerdy fandoms on this board.
I suppose when I think about it, my avatar could be a symbol of both my nerdiness and my love of children.

It's an "aquafied" Hazard Team badge from the game Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. I still play that game to this day and the aqua part reflects my taste in UI design. I used to run mac themes on all my Windows machines.

Mine is from Alien, when Dallas is holding position in the air shaft after the creature vanishes from the scope. It symbolizes me surrounded by the lurking dangers of the Internet. I hope I don't get alienated.

It's just my initials. I changed my artwork signature last year and really liked it as a kind of logo. So I avatarified it.

I almost never change my avatar (despite being one of the regular contestants in the DS9 avatar contest), though I do have a version of Red-Eye Dukat that comes out for Halloween.

But generally, I feel like the avatar I have suits me. :)

Will anyone survive????

Unlikely.

My current avatar reflects my love for the old "B" movies that I viewed in my childhood...
Giant insects, aliens bent on taking over the planet, voyages to planets full of beautiful women..but no men...

standard 50s and 60s schlock Sci-Fi...

I'm planning a series of 'em...
