Avatars and what they mean to you?

I've been here over two years now - wow, that went quickly! - and I've worn variations on the Nasat the entire time. My "standard" avatar is the axe-wielding Nasat, but he's a bit like Mr. Benn, he selects new costumes when appropriate. To be honest, he only spends a small amount of his time with the axe nowadays. He's in Minbari mode at present, having switched from M.I.B mode a few days back.

I tend to associate posters with their avatar, and as is usual for me I grow attached to the avatar as well as the person. So I have no intention of ever swopping the Nasat out, though I grow bored easily enough that I make a new variant every few weeks...

<Busy contemplating world domination.

Slowly realising that this world may not be worth the effort!

I'd like to be more like her ~ well apart from the dead bit! (and maybe the forehead?!)

Is Misc. going through a "I am my avatar" phase lately?

I don't mind, really. I find not only other avatars fun, and what they mean to us, but also the very process of how we like to analyse each other's avatars. :bolian:

I thought I was experiencing deja vu...

Symbolic masks are always intriguing.

Um...I'm not sure how I feel about this.

It means you have a highly charged personality... ;)

I am exactly like my avatar.

If that's how people see me, they're right.

You know, I do... :D

My current avatar is the villain from a particularly weird episode of the Spider-Man animated series from the late 60s. Much of it was actually recycled from an episode of a Canadian cartoon, Rocket Robin Hood. My location and signature come from this episode as well. Plus, it seems to go well with the username.

I watched both cartoons regularly as a boy, but I hadn't thought about them for years, until recently. I was quite pleased to discover that stills were readily available online. I was even more pleased to see that old show become the basis for a meme recently.

It's mostly a way to fly the nerd flag, while distinguishing myself from you youngsters.

I could say both this avatar and my last one (which was nothing to do with ponies, it was Noodle from the cartoon-band members of Gorillaz) have a lazy look about them. Or laid-back. I like laid-back better.

Of course like Chem's and J's, it's representing my current favourite thing.

I tend to like my avatars a lot shortly after putting them up, and so I stay with them for a while.

my avatar is from the ending scene of Phoenix Wright 2, the character is normally a gruff Dominatrix, but in the end it was all a mask that she put on and this is the true Franziska Von Karma

....why is everyone wearing rainbow ponies?
