Arrow - Season 2

Well, what would Jim Kirk have done?

(Was Ivo screwing Sara? If ivo was screwing Sara, then was he a jerk enough to shoot her? Even if she was just a friend, and the betrayal hurt bad, it was most likely always Shado who was going to be shot because she was not blond.)

^No, that's exactly what happened. Ollie is suffering from survivor's guilt, and because of the Mirakuru, Slade isn't able to realize the impossible position Ollie was in.

Thanks for that.

It wasn't impossible.

He should have chosen himself by charging Ivo.

And all 3 die, great plan.

Should have, would have...

Ollie wasn't a hero, and he was in a stressful situation. He didn't have the ability to think it through.

Speed taught us that you shoot the hostage to take power away from the hostage taker.

I suppose that means that he should have beaten one of these girls half to death?

Diggle is, almost strangely, the hardest to believe. If he can be a superhero - not that he is, but he is a team mate - then any ex soldier or ex cop could be. And the real world shows us that ex soldiers and ex cops don't regularly become superheroes.

I haven't read any spoilers about the upcoming episodes, but it seems to me that Diggle is the equivalent of a member of the Team 7 of the Arrow universe.

I liked Felicity's "Please rescue Oliver!" The woman needs to get laid already. :p

I think I missed something about the scene when Shado is killed. I didn't think that Ollie really "chose" Sara. Didn't he just step in because Ivo was about to pull the trigger. If Ivo had been about to pull the trigger on Shado first then he would have stepped in to save her. Do I need to watch this again?
They could have made it clearer, but the below two shots do show that Ollie ended up between Ivo and Sara, not Shado:

I'm fairly certain he just moved in front of the gun's line of sight. Ivo simply changed to Shado before Oliver could do anything about it, mocking him for "choosing" Sara.

Right... just as Ivo's countdown ended.

The whole plot point is pure melodrama; of course Ivo alone murdered Shado, and Ollie was offering himself up in both of their places, but he ended up between the gun and Sara, thereby choosing, in Ivo's stupid line of reasoning, that Shado should be the one to die.

I think Slade always had a thing for her, but she and Ollie got together, then Sarah came back and there was that big attack. Shado took care of Slade's wounds and I think that's when he told her he loved her. I can't remember if she reciprocated, but I think there's definitely some jealously fuelling Slade's anger.

Yeah, I don't think the actual action by Ivo as depicted was anywhere near clear enough to motivate Wilson's hatred of Oliver.

This is the main photo on the Arrow facebook page.

Where is Felicity? Who is the blonde at the far left, is that Lance's ex-wife? Sara is well positioned next Ollie, balancing Diggle. What can we read into this?

Well, my secret wish is that Felicity would hook up with Barry...they seemed to have good chemistry (and that her real name would be Iris, and Felicity her middle name)...

But as someone said, it's SARA that's missing....but i hope it's just because she's a "guest star"...and Slade is in it because of the longtime flashback

As pointed out, Felicity is next to Oliver, and Laurel is on the far left. Regarding what we can read into it? Sara is going bye-bye.

Sara is a more interesting character but... Sara is a redundant character and Laurel is the only show in town as far as fuck up lawyers go.

Or its just an old promo picture from start of the season.. And there's no Quentin Lance either.

It's not a real picture.

Those actors where obviously shot separately.

"Sara" and others where probably shot at the same time.

Above is a jigsaw put together by someone who had the authority to decide which characters where most useful to their current marketing design.

In a week, maybe they'll juggle the characters, substitute and switch out the minors they are using with the minors they are ignoring... Or someone dies!

Dig's back on deck this week, at friggin' last.

In any case, he and Felicity are the core of Team Arrow, so that trinity is front and center - or at least that's how CWMarketing was pushing them at the top of the season. Speedy is with Speedy, and Ollie's past and present share the other side. QED.
