Anyone still build models?

Silver pre-TOS, blinding white for a model on a desk…off white for new, grey for warships.

The TOS Enterprise on slow turns looked beige to me.

GIANT FREAKIN ROBOT has a YouTube on "DEADLIEST STARSHIP."

The folks that restored the TOS E for the Smithsonian have the right color, which is a sort of concrete gray with a vaguely greenish tint. You can find online articles about it. I think they recommend Tamiya AS-12 Japanese gray for modelers, but I just personally prefer light ghost gray for a more on-screen look.

I find Tamiya AS-18 Light Gray (IJA) to be a very good match for the Enterprise.

Except, I think that was AS-2 IJN Light Gray (typo, I'm sure).

The station finally gets a little colour.

Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel on this one..... Unfortunately, that light is actually coming from hundreds and hundreds of little holes I gotta poke into this thing....

I do this for fun.

Many of you remember the 1980 Filmation FLASH GORDON animated series.

I located photos of the physical models that were rotoscoped:

Well, she's sci fi: This is a 1/6 3D printed kit of Dejah Thoris I bought from Crimson Raven Miniatures:

I have a lot of trouble painting eyes, so I was grateful her bangs were a separate part that shadows them  I think I'll go back to planes and spaceships for a while, they're more forgiving. Any mistake can be called weathering. :)

I'm not getting an image.

Great stuff! I love the DS9 design. I know it must have been time consuming to poke all those hundreds of windows through, but seeing it lit up like that is so worth it.
