I think they should stage an intervention for him. Someone has to stop him before he kills himself and leaves his children fatherless.
Easier said than done. I read in an interview with Martin Sheen that he, Emilio, and some other family members did that on Charlie's birthday, some years past.
A lot of good that did.

There was an intervention they attempted in the '90s that even Clint Eastwood was a part of.
Anyone Else Pissed at the Whole Sheen Situation?
Warner Bros. and CBS undoubtedly had clauses in Sheen's contract which allowed him to be fired if his bad-boy behavior jeopardized the stability of their cash cow. If Sheen's promise to sue Warner and CBS "big" makes it to court, the details of how he breached his own contract will likely come out.

Charlie Sheen claims that there was not a morals clause (in an Access Hollywood interview). I believe him. He's a big enough star to get it done, and his lawyers would be idiots to leave it in...
Edit: An interesting break-down of some of the clauses that could be in his contract:

I have a feeling this whole thing will be settled, WB basically paying to make Sheen go away. And probably with a non-disclosure attached.
