At least he's open to the idea.![]()
You not only brought in Spock this season, but also Anson Mount, who garnered a lot of critical praise and even a fan petition to get a Pike spin-off. Is there a chance of that happening?
The fans have been heard. Anything is possible in the world of Trek. I would love to bring back that crew more than anything. It was a huge risk for us. One of the most gratifying things is to see how deeply the fans have embraced Pike, Spock, Number One, and the Enterprise. The idea of getting to tell more stories with them would be a delight for all of us.

So, he just wants the conversation done in a creative manner?I suppose that's better than if it required uncreative conversation.
Nah. I live according to Gene's Vision where money is not a driving force in my life.Y’all know you’d be asking for more money, too, if you were him. Don’t pretend.
Pike could very well end up being involved in the 'Section 31' show on occasion, or even as a main player (and sort of foil/conscience check) fir MU Georgiou. They've already set up the PU relationship, as well as a new relationship between Georgiou and Pike with this season of Discovery. I'm sure they'll find a way to make use of the Bridge set again either for the 1701 or another Starship/Constitution Class ship for the 'Section 31 series.
was Georgiou on the bridge when the Discovery went to the future?

No it doesn't. This is what Star Trek is at its core, this is what it should be. The idea that there needs to be something 'more', that it needs some ludicrous universe shattering event or a giant epic megaplot is poison. Discovery was at its best when it was basically following the traditional mystery of the week Trek formula. Just do that, do not introduce new setting shattering events or technologies and it will fit nicely in the continuity at any time point. It is really not that hard.I have a question. What would a Pike aboard the Enterprise do though we haven't already seen before in Trek? We have seen shows about the Enterprise exploring space, including the TOS one with Spock. I think if you do this you got to have more of angle than just that.
Dear god, this is promising. This is so promising. I'm seriously fanboying to the very idea of this. It'd be the Star Trek prequel we've probably all wanted since way back when Enterprise was announced. Heck, BermanTrek spent a decade trying to recapture just fragments of the unique feel of TOS, when that 2 minutes after Spock arrived back on the bridge just felt like we were right back there again. Is it possible to get a better distillation of Star Trek at it's brass tacks than to literally go back to Gene Roddenberry's original characters, the ones he concieved before Kirk/Spock/McCoy/Scotty/Uhura/Chekov/Sulu were even a thing? I think not. This could be the ultimate Star Trek show. It needs to happen. Come on CBS, make it happen. Not only him, but Alex Kurtzman too...
I think this deservedly must become a hashtag...

"Anson, if you do NOT agree to lead a Pike spinoff series, please reply in no fewer than 10 words without using the letter E."So, he just wants the conversation done in a creative manner?
"Anson, hi. I'd like to talk to you about your own Star Trek spinoff."
"This conversation isn't at all creative."
I kind of agree. Bless his genetics but he appeared much older - not that there's anything wrong with that.Greenwood is 62, 63 in August.
And not that I'd want him playing Pike's father, but he looks older than that to me. I'm still shocked he was only early 50s in ST 2009.
