Animated Trek films

This might make more sense in Future of Trek. Wait a second, escorting this down … now.

There was a pitch in the early 2000s for an animated Captain Sulu movie. I don't know if anyone has pitched other animated Trek films since then.

I would like some animated Trek movies, but I would want them to be bigger events, with wide theatrical release instead of all being direct-to-video (and maybe an occasional Fathom showing) like Warner Bros.' DC animated stuff.

I'd be interested in this.

I'd really love something like the Animatrix set in the Trek universe. Just a series of shorts set throughout the timeline and show things that have been mentioned but never shown. Stuff like the Earth-Romulan War, The Temporal Wars, and maybe some off the wall stuff with Q. Like the Looney Toons short Duck Amuck with Q warping reality just to pester someone or amuse himself.

I like the idea. I'd definitely watch one. but then I'd probably watch any star trek movie unless it was one of those lego things.
Hey I like those lego movies. Granted They're aimed at kids but sometimes they thrown in adult references.

Like most people I wouldn't mind seeing an animated Romulan War movie. (maybe they could also do This movie. and if does well it can be the start of a new series of films. similar to how Pixar is doing Lightyear.)

I would also like to see a movie set during these "Lost Eras" such as the Romulan War, the time period following the birth of the Federation, The time period between TUC and TNG (2293-2311 and we could see things such as The Tomed Incident.)

I still like the Lions of the Night concept movie, and with the Kzin starting to show up in Star Trek again, who knows.
