All the Negative people.

Then how can you make everyone else hate it?!

By persuasively arguing your own opinion. :bolian: I've been trying to argue "Horizon" on Enterprise into the "Spock's Brain"/"Code Of Honor"/"Threshold"/"Profit & Lace" pantheon of Worst Trek Ever all over TrekBBS for a year or two now...

It's a message board.. not only is not necessary to proceed my opinions with "in my opinion" qualifier, but any casual moviegoer or even professional critic that says a movie is absolute trash does not need to apologize to the crew that made it, and nor is their opinion invalid. Also, when it comes to aggressively chastising (or praising) art a little hyperbole is to be expected otherwise what is the point. Oh I guess I live in 2020 where people are just offended by everything unless you take special care to clarify everything and not dare ruffle a single feather so that no one is offended.. after all no one has a thick skin anymore.. especially the people who either produce or even defend this kind of utter crap and dare call it Star Trek . I'm not going to be neutered just because I'm worried about people taking offence.
JOKER (to everyone in 2020): What's the matter? Did your balls drop off?

I don't think anyone takes offense.

I think people just grow overwhelmingly bored with it.

At least, in my opinion.

Do you really want to go down this particular path?
It's not necessary. But without even going there it's amazing how for the last three pages of this thread people were accusing me of tossing a few insults at the production team of the show when I was really stating my opinion of the show itself. I guess, based on the title of this thread, I'm not allowed to do either. I'm just supposed to love it and embrace it, and not be so negative, and just appreciate the creative vision that went into producing this show, and to just be oh so welcoming of it. That's what I'm supposed to do.

Other people have negative thoughts about the show and seem to be doing fine. Ever think it may be you that people find objectionable?

You don't have to love it but statements like this one:
I will tune in, but the animation is garbage, and the story doesn't look any better. This is a no-effort show, meant for pulling in quick numbers.
Calling it a no-effort show is insulting the production team. That's the line that was crossed and that is the point that I will continue on. Because, like the show or not, the production team did do work. That you don't agree with it doesn't take away from their efforts.

You seem like you're really struggling with something right now. In post after post, you come off very upset and offended by things that no one has actually said. I'm sorry for whatever it is that has you this distressed and angry, and I hope that it passes soon. Best wishes.

Like I said earlier, take it as you want. Every time you've ever said a movie is trash, you have to apologize to the production team from that film, meanwhile you can crawl back into your little corner and not understand hyperbole all you want

Maybe I'm just a fan and am trying to say that Trek has sunk to it's lowest low ever here. Instead of letting my opinion pass, people think I'm insulting the team in the credits

Or, we could just get clarification rather than lobbing insults at Kurtzman and the production team. Stating it as hyperbole is not a catch all for clarification. If you did not mean to imply that the production team did substandard work or that it was only done for clicks then perhaps clarify.

Yet did Ebert (a well reknowned critic) have to do that every time he gave zero or one-star reviews. Does everyone you go up and chat abotu movies that says "that movie is absolute garbage" have to do that?
