He's hard to see through?

I'll see myself out...

so w/ episode 8 coming next wk., do we have anything for the remaining 2023? and anything in the first half of 2024?

Read online that this one was pushed to at least 2Q 2024, but I read it on the internet so it must be true.
Yeah, it's been reported by third parties to have been pushed back, but nothing official. Wouldn't surprise me either way since on the one hand; the strike(s), but on the other hand; I can see Disney wanting to hold onto that Holiday release window for the Spielbergesque family adventure romp in a galaxy far far away.

We'll see whenever the teaser trailer drops in a month or three, but my gut tells me that they'll push it back for the simple reason that the probably feel like they *need* Jude Law to help promote it since (so far as we know) the show is all original characters (no, that one pirate from Mando doesn't count) and they're probably afraid people won't be interested without something in particular to drawn them in. So unless the SAG-AFTRA strike is over very soon, so Law can get off the picket line and onto the press tour circuit, I think the smart money is on Q1'24 at the earliest.

To be honest, Skeleton Crew hasn't really been on my radar. I said the same thing about Andor, though, and wound up loving it. I'll probably wait until a few reviews roll in on this one before deciding whether to take the plunge.

The Acolyte is another one I haven't really been tracking. I know just about zero about it.

I am just curious. What is Thrawn gonna do once he returns back to the home galaxy ? He seem to have only one warship, that needs maintenance badly and the ship is full of stormtroopers who still cannot shoot straight.

The New Republic could easily handle him.

I assume his plan is to take over/unite the Imperial Remnant.

I think the idea is that the various Remnant factions rally around him and he provides the strategery.

This.

And it could be that the NR doesn't have to worry about Thrawn for a bit as he brings any reluctant Imperial warlords to heel.

Any possibility that Thrawn in fact sets up the First Order but gets assassinated by the time of Force Awakens?

Also... will Baylan survive the episode? If so, might they set up an off screen death so his apprentice takes over his storyline?

As far as what Thrawn might actually do: I think people might be surprised by his actual strategy for topping the New Republic. Even with all the resources of the Remnant at his command, that's still only a tiny fraction of the old Imperial Navy. That means his ability to hold ground is going to be severely limited, and any direct confrontation is going to ablate his irreplaceable resources very quickly.

I suspect he's going to adopt the tactics of the Rebel Alliance; Hit and run surgical strikes aimed at destabilization of both the military and government, maybe even mercy missions to worlds suffering under the New Republic's inept bureaucratic neglect. That could take the form of simple supply drops, to wiping out a few pirate bands that were harassing some outland worlds (hello 'Skeleton Crew' tie-in?), and even effective regime change in systems where discontent his especially high.

There would certainly be motivation given Palpatine's stated position on suffering rivals, and one assumes his deranged clone would be equally tolerant and magnanimous.

All that said, given how eager Hux was to get Pershing away from Gideon, I suspect Clonepatine isn't up and running dangling yet. Of course that assumes Project Necromancer has anything to do with the Herbert West school of family reunions going on at the Exogol necropolis/temple. For all we know Hux is just trying to make a Clone army on par with Kaminoan handiwork. Which honestly is preferable given project codenames are meant to obfuscate it's purpose, not advertise it.

On top of that, Thrawn just being offed by a third party the protagonists as yet don't know exists seems like an odd way to end the movie that's meant to put a cap on the whole Mandoverse era.

As ever, I think the more tasteful and less ghoulish thing to do is not speculate until we've seen the entirety of Ray's performance, and then we'll know what the options are, if any. I think we can wait just a few days, no?

Did Ray get to see the finished product before he died?
I hope...

This is 5-7 years after ROTJ. That means Palpatine would already be in another body. Otherwise he'd be in Chaos.

I just find out Mary Elizabeth Wintstead married Ewan McGregor, I would assume they must have cast in the same Star Wars series such as Obi-Wan, but she was never in it

Thrawn was known to use unconventional tactics to undermine the New Republic in the novels. If he can get his hands on an Interdictor or two or some cloaking devices he can not only bring his ships (or the enemies ships) out of hyperspace where he wants, he could also blockade worlds with cloaked rocks or mines. Even if there are only one or two dozen rocks in orbit, if they are cloaked and the enemy thinks there are hundreds, the planet is effectively blockaded with minimal resources used.
