I have thought for some time that Millie Bobby Brown would make an excellent Leia, although I understand the nostalgia thing for casting Billie Lourd.
'Skeleton Crew' is indeed next up and indeed may or may not have anything directly to do with what's going on in this show (mostly I'm curious how they're going to work Carson into it.) Officially I think it's still slated for later this year, but there's understandable rumours it got bumped to spring next year. After that it's 'The Acolyte' which is it's own thing, as is Andor season 2, which should be out around this time next year. Beyond that all we know for sure is that Mando season 4 was being worked on before the strike and seems to have had what was going to be RotNR folded into it, so that's the most promising candidate for continuing on with these characters somewhat, and is probably going to be out either late 2024 or early 2025. I guess a 'The Book of Boba Fett' Season 2 is possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Honestly an 'Ahsoka' Season 2 feels way more plausible at this point. Either way, unless 'Skeleton Crew' has a significant connection it's going to be a few years before any of these threads get picked up.
No, they didn't. She's supposed to be, what, 5-7 years older than ROTJ Mothma? Not even close, she looks almost exactly like she did in Andor.
I thought they'd added a few more lines, especially around the eyes. I was only watching on my laptop however.
But what are the dreams and madness? Just the Noti existing? I feel like it would have made more sense if we got to see what Baylan is looking for. I suppose 3PO could have marched into Hera's court martial going "This is madness!"
While spending almost a decade on the run during the time of war took years off her life . . . I imagine divorcing Perrin put like 30 extra years right back on. Also; bacta facials can work wonders.
And considering how little she aged between ROTS and Rogue One she probably has really good Chandrillan genes.
This. When I've given an elevator pitch to people for Rebels, it's always: "Firefly in the Star Wars universe, animated and for kids." It's not exact -- I'd say Kanan is part Mal, part Wash, for example -- but it's the basic idea of it.
the whales goes to warp?? also... why do i feel i just witness the child of star trek and lord of the rings?
Perhaps because you only have a narrow frame of reference? I recommend you go watch Flash Gordon, Seven Samurai, and Conan The Barbarian.
Crone? I feel like theres a Discworld line that's appropriate here. Kannan had them on the Phantom, there was a clip from Rebels S1 or 2, with Ahsoka and Ezra watching the holograms. So Hera gave them to Ahsoka after Ezra purgilled Thrawn, presumably.
You're thinking of this scene. Despite what people are saying, I don't think this is meant to be part of the collection of recordings he made for Ahsoka. For starters it's on Kanan's holocron, which is the holocron Depa Billaba was using to train him on Kaller. That plus his temple dojo garb and the fact Ezra said he's watched it many times to practice his own sabre techniques means this is something he recorded for the instruction of all the padawans & initiates. The ones for Ahsoka would have been made specifically for her, as evidenced by his dialogue, whereas this one sounds more formal and generic.
There was a running gag where after they would introduce themselves they would say "No Relation". But the reason everyone is weirded out is that Babs always had a crush on Buster, and by the end of the show he is returning her affection. So it's weird they are siblings now.
All these Disney + shows seem like set up for another series or movie that may or may not happen. Very little payoff.
It can go either way. He made a whole set of recordings, unlikely it was all at the same time. So it could be a mix of more casual instruction meant for Ahsoka and other Jedi trainers, and some meant to be added to the archive.
Sure, but you're missing the point; it's unlikely that Ahsoka got/retrieved copies of those personal recordings made specifically for her from Depa's holocron, because why would Depa ever have them in the first place? R2 is overall a much simpler explanation.
