Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

Hee hee...when Coulson said he was calling in a backup force of one, I was hoping it would be Deathlok....

Awesome, I had almost completely forgotten about Deathlok, so that was a pleasant surprise.

On the other hand, not in the least bit surprised about Fitz and Simmons. I knew something was up there when Fitz went down for one last look at the cube. But still very happy about it. It seems like it has taken this dramatic situation to push them back together.

I found tonight's episode extremely enjoyable.

So I think a lot of people are thinking that Bobbi may be getting second thoughts about GonzalesShield's actions. She didn't seem terribly thrilled with how some of these things have been playing out. She could easily waver and help Coulson and Hunter.

But what about Simmons? Is there any chance at all that she's manipulating Fitz, and is trying to trick him into opening the box? I don't think so, but the possibility did enter my mind.

FINALLY! I've been asking all season what the hell happened to Deathlok! Hopefully he sticks around to the end of the season. Hey, maybe Ultron can take over his body!

Bravo, FitzSimmons. Well played! I kinda got the feeling that Jemma was up to something, but I didn't expect Leo to be in on it too.

Lots of revelations about the Inhumans and their community living in some place that looks like a part of the Himalayas. I knew Raina and Cal must've been taken to the same place, but what I didn't expect was seeing Jiaying, Skye's mother, alive. The whole dynamic about Skye's origin and biological nature now makes more sense.

Gonzalez is going out of his way to prove to May and others that RealSHIELD is not evil. "We're not the bad guys here. We're not holding you prisoners. We just need to open the Toolbox." But having a hostile takeover doesn't exactly demonstrate good intentions. Amidst all this chaos, I wonder where the "other" agents out in the field stand. Do they even know about Gonzalez and his team?

As for Agent May, I doubt that Gonzalez will be able to persuade her to join their cause. She's far too loyal to Coulson. She could, however, pretend to be on their side just to gain intel.

This is how it works out for Gonzalez if he offers May a seat in good faith.

1. May gets a seat.

2. Some one else entirely not working for the new S.H.I.E.L.D. kills Coulson.

3. May has no reason to betray Gonzalez.

I really don't want to google for youtubes of someone ####ing a subway 6 inch meatball sub, so stop trying to make me.

Called it. Skye's mum *is* Wolverine! ;)

Nice surprise reveal of Deathlok and I like the redesigned costume; it looks much sleeker. The old look seemed more clunky IMO. Honestly though I'd totally forgotten about him, so I'm apparently one-all for prescience! For a second there when that hand started pulling down the ramp I thought they might actually have wrangled a surprise Avenger cameo, or maybe just Sif. Makes perfect sense that Coulson would have had Mike on the books from the get-go and for his part, helping SHIELD track down Hydra's heads also makes perfect sense.

Had a feeling Simmons was up to something, but they still did a convincing job of making me doubt which side of the fence she'd end up on. I love that this is the second time in as many episodes she's played Bobbie, who is supposedly one of SHIELD's best interrogators. They really need to stop underestimating FitzSimmons. And yeah, FitzSimmons are officially a unit again. :D

That Strucker seems to be gathering up gifted people to experiment on may mean that Wanda & Pietro are inhumans after all. Perhaps the mind gem was able to activate terragenesis without the need for the mists?

...and we still don't know what the cargo was.

You can terigenicize without a diviner?

Thank god.

Although is the culture of supply and demand real?

I'm assuming so few are evolved because they say that it's hard to source terrigen on Earth, more so than a political decision was made to curb their inhumanization, which is also altogether possible.

Remember how well the trill Symbiosis Commission lied?

I too was completely floored to see Skye's Mom alive and well. I thought they said she was dissected?!

This episode convinced me that this group of Inhumans are the low rent version. They must have nothing to do with Black Bolt, so that it's easier to introduce him in the movie. And that isn't The Great Refuge.

It looks like Skye's mom bears the scars of having been stitched back together...probably Cal's work, without which she might have remained "dead".
