Disco. Or Grunge. Glam Rock was good.Unbelievable. And he was a comic-book rock star.![]()
He's the comic-book equivalent of glam rock. Maybe disco.

What th--?! That's ridiculous. Is there some sort of corporate grudge against him for some reason? Roy the Boy is as important as Stan the Man and the King. In the early-to-mid 70s, he was more of a Jim Shooter than Jim Shooter was in the 80s. He was a solid writer, who expanded the boundaries of the books he wrote without losing their theme or ambiance. He cultivated tons of brilliant new talent. He created countless new characters and concepts that other people ran with, from the supernatural books to the black-and-white books to bringing some solid SF concepts to the line (including the Sword & Sorcery stuff, which I personally never liked), he did innovative stuff like What If?, he experimented with new formats like the Treasury Edition and the Giant Size books that originally mimicked the rotating format used for a while on TV. He deserves his own documentary. The one person I thought was conspicuously missing from the special was Roy Thomas, who was never even mentioned.
