Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

The film premieres the first weekend of May. I don't believe we have a date for the season finale, but if it's anything like season 1, it'll be mid-May. The show responded to the events of The Winter Soldier the same week as the film's premiere, so I expect we'll see the same this time around.

The only reason it went into mid may was due to the winter olympics and it had to stretch out to line up with Captain America - which almost killed it.

I doubt they'll do that again.

At what point in the season do you guys suppose that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will start referencing the work of the Avengers? I forget where it came from, but before the official plot synopsis was released and went on Wikipedia, the plot synopsis section read something with "the Avengers needing a break from stopping threats". And I would think that the party scene is the result of them being together for a while.

Mid-May is the typical time for season finales every year.

Doesn't the movie premiere in May? If so, the events of the movie will most likely take place between seasons of the show.

Counting Agent Carter, there are 32 episodes to fit in between September 23 and the end of the season. During that time, add one week for a Marvel 75th Anniversary special. I suspect they aren't having Agent Carter episodes on December 23 and December 30. So 35 weeks or so puts it about two or three weeks after Age of Ultron where it ends. That's my best guess, anyway.

That being said, I hope they're clever with their writing. Taking a timeout with Ultron that close to the end would kind of be out of left field from an in-show perspective.

Head Simmons is trying to "make" Fitz gay.

She could smell the real Gemma coming back and had to make provisions.

I love you, Guy.

Just watched it on DVR, great episode. Glad to see Simmons back with the rest of the group. We haven't seen the Lanyard Guy for a while, have we?

Coulson still rocks.

Skye still rocks.

May still rocks.

Generally, just been a good season so-far, keeping with the momentum built in the back-half of the first season.

I just checked out the ratings and they just keep dropping and dropping. :( I don't think this will be going to Season Three...

If they were going to deal with a villain form AoU, I would think Von Stucker would be a lot more likely. He is Hydra after all, and he would definitely be a lot easier on the budget.

I'm hoping they deal with him prior to AoU to make the episodes a prequel of sorts. Would be a great score if they can get him to have a guest appearance.

It will--I wouldn't be surprised if it gets the Netflix treatment if the network drops it.

And I highly doubt it will get dropped by ABC, since both ABC and Marvel are owned by Disney, and the show works as advertising for the Marvel movies. Plus the show's ratings skyrocket when DVR viewers are added.

Ah, I hadn't realized that because I stopped watching the show sometime before that (I'm one of those who returned after the season ended based on word of mouth).

^Hope you caught up with the end of last season.

The intensives program: Join Hydra, or Louie here will puts youse in intensives care, see?
