After Trek

Much better second show! Somebody has either had a word with Mira or doused him full of Quaalude's cos he was far less hyper than last week!
The 'real Stamets' stuff was a good idea even if the Skype feed didn't help! Could really do with a better and more interactive live audience feel - but an improvement!

I'd like to know why I can't watch this show despite paying for AA?

Thanks in advance.

Okay, the second episode was indeed a serious improvement. Mary Wiseman is hilarious btw.

Also, spoiler-tagging this, but re: the preview for next week,
omg omg omg they said "ganglia" like three times this makes me so happy and I don't even know why.

Why is the second episode not on Netflix?
Should be in Netflix on Tuesday. But wondering why its not there yet. I wish they would just post it in Netflix on Monday. I realize that since its a live show there may be some technical difficulties with it, but it could be posted little bit sooner.

I wanted the host gone after the first episode, which I just finished - just too spastic. But I'm watching the second one now, and he's a bit more professional. I'll give him a chance, but I hope he continues in this direction, because he still needs to tone down a bit more, because there's still some uncomfortable and distracting laughter in places.

I wish the whole thing were just the behind-the-scenes, making-of stuff instead of the talk-show chatter and interactive stuff. I think I saw that you can watch those videos on the show's YouTube channel without needing to watch the rest of the talk show, but still, I'd rather see 45 minutes' worth of making-of video per episode than just a few minutes' worth.

If that's also part of his sex-organ/sexuality, then that means that he can only make love to people he believes are going to murder him.

Okies.

That tribble means that Lorca is not a surgically altered Klingon, but considering it is the only non pregnant tribble in the galaxy, maybe it's ability to sense Klingons has also been neutered, which would be really convenient if Lorca was a surgically altered Klingon.

I watch the YouTube clips instead, and even there I had to sit through a minute or so of the host and the whole style of the "live" portion. He does not seem improved to me.

but considering it is the only non pregnant tribble in the galaxy
No one in the show says that it's not pregnant. And even then, how do we know that 10% of the Tribble population aren't naturally sterile?

No one in the show says that it's not pregnant.

I think it can be logically deduced, though. I believe the episode spanned more than 12 hours, and there was still just the one tribble on his desk at the end.

Although he must've had more than one tribble, because there's a dissected one in his menagerie.

Here both Discovery and After Trek is on Netflix. I sort of enjoy After Trek, it's not fantastic, but I have enough fun with it to keep watching.

I love the behind the scenes stuff and the tidbits about the sets and characters. Really love that desk! Need to pick one up and make it into my dining room table. The show in every aspect was much improved in week 2. I'm sticking with this also.

I tried again. I love the desk and the behind the scenes tidbits, but I just can't make it all the way through because of the host. He really, really, REALLY needs to dial back the OMG THIS IS SO KEWL business. As I've said, it comes across like morning commute FM or bad Youtube videos.

To be honest, I much prefer the commentary podcasts out there like the ones on Trek.fm.

And when he dissected it he found...wheat! So what?

I have no opinion on the content of the after show since those kinds of things aren't for me. I prefer podcasts with actual thoughtful discussion, not fanboys geeking out. It being produced by CBS means we'll probably never get any actual critical look at the show.

That said, I applaud CBS for doing it. It's cheap, easy, added content for the app and fans of Trek. Hopefully it offers something to those who enjoy this sort of thing.

I like the ability to see an exclusive clip from next week's episode, as it's not in the regular coming attraction clip.

I'd rather they scrap the twitter questions as they seem scattershod and lend nothing to the discussions. I'd rather have that time go to the actors and producers in regards to what they're processes are with making the series or that episode.
