After Trek

I'm trying to make it through the show right now, but this host is BRUTAL. There some potentially interesting guests and topics, but I'm sitting here reading the boards instead of watching because of how BRUTAL the host is.

Did I mention the host is BRUTAL?

Why would the makers of a show want an after show that is harshly critical of the show they're making? It's a promotional tool.

Because nobody wants to see that. Everyone wants to see things criticized, bad-mouthed, nit-picked, and torn down.

Which is unfortunate

But absolutely true.

I watched After Trek tonight and I did NOT like it one bit. I think Matt Mira was annoying. He giggled like a kid and was just so WRONG for this show. I don't think I want to watch it again.

Where is After Trek being shown? Is it on CBS All Access?

It's too bad Matt Mira doesn't seem to be clicking as host with viewers. I like him on the Talk Salad and Scrambled Eggs podcast with Kevin Smith (yes, it's a podcast about Frasier).

After I acclimated to the irritating host it was ok.

Twitter questions and comments should never be part of any show. They're always cringey shite.

On the plus side they are having cast members from previous shows on future episodes.

Conceptually, watching a talk show adressing an episode of a TV show immediately after watching said episode is entirely unappealing to me.

If Star Trek was a sport I might stick around for some post game analysis, but as it is I'd much rather read what people have to say here on the board.

No, absolutely wrong.

Critical? Yes.
Bad-mouthed? Torn down? No. Nobody wants that. That's the opposite side of the spectrum from what AT is doing.

The giggling turned me off. Guys that giggle a lot just make me cringe.

Plus as some have said, Twitter. If I want Twitter comments, I'll go to Twitter. More in-depth talks with the actors would have been better.
