Why don’t you just, you know, trust me, the mod of this forum, when I say it’s fine (as long as the criteria I mentioned are met)? Believe me, this has been discussed behind the scenes pretty exhaustively. And the consensus is that at the end of the day it’s at the discretion of the mods to decide to close resurrected threads or not close them. The guideline is that new threads are preferred, but that doesn’t mean there’s any hard and fast rule to absolutely never post in an old thread and that we will always close them. The rule you felt you needed to quote at me simply says nothing about what happens with a resurrected thread. So I don’t know where this belief comes from that thread-closure is what absolutely should have happened. This has simply never been the case on this board. This is not as black and white a thing as some posters perceive it to be.
Frankly, I fail to see any harm in this.
Also, why did you tag 1001001 for this?
All of that said, let’s not turn this thread into a discussion about the pros and cons of thread necromancy. If you have any further questions, shoot me a PM.
No. The idea is simply to unite all threads relating to a topic under the subforum dedicated to that very topic. Is that such an outlandish notion? And why would you rather think there’s some nefarious plot to “pretend some engagement with this tv movie”? Conspiracy theorist much? The only reason why this popped up again is because stupidly any thread with "Section 31" got pulled over from the DIS forum into this new forum to pretend some engagement with this tv movie.
Tough luck, I guess.I don't want my five year old threads revived.
