5 new Treks in development under Kurtzman including new Picard series, Khan series, and cartoon

I’ll probably skip the teen thing, I’m not in the target in audience.

The cartoon will probably get a look in.

Kahn mini series, suppose.

Picard, he’s getting on a bit. Expecting a swan song adventure.

The other thing should really be the Ringship series I’m hoping for, and that it lives up to all my expectations.

The show is rumored to be set on the Picard vineyard and follows his winery adventures for 7 seasons

Season 1 - Picard must defend his vineyard from borg which targeted his grape technology
Season 2 - Season long arc where Picard's vineyard is under Cardassian threat
Season 3 - Mirror universe winery

I mean given that or Discovery S1... sign me up!

Season 4 - Dr Crusher finally wants to settle down with Picard - on a condition he hires Wesley as the winery's manager :guffaw::guffaw::D:D

Assuming all these get made...

Yeah, I'll skip the teen-oriented academy series. I don't need "Beverly Hills 90210" in space. Or "Saved By the Bell" in space.

The Khan one I spoke about in the thread for it: pass.

The animated series? The concept art will paint the picture for me. A semi-realistic one along the lines of (or better) CGI quality like "Star Wars: Rebels" might get my attention, but even then it depends on the creative forces behind it (producers, writers).

Agreed. ST Academy: Dawson's Creek or ST Academy: Gossip Girl doesn't appeal to me either :D:D:lol::lol::hugegrin:.

One must keep in mind that these proposed series are all in development stage. Most of them never made it past the development hell, so out of this five series, I think only one and at most, two, will survive and become an actual series. Once it has, it's up to the ratings to see whether it'll survive for long or not.

If I thought the coincidence of the Discovery announcement and Beyond being made was the new heyday of Trek, boy was I wrong. I am up for any and all additional versions of Trek. Bring em on!

I liked what a poster at TrekMovie said (paraphrasing): if they do a series where we see the values of the Federation instilled in the cadets (Kobiashi Maru, Prime Directive, leadership, IDIC, etc.) via difficult moral decisions and consequential interactions, then that would be a show to watch. I certainly don't need Space 90201.

Yea, that would be interesting, but I fear: teen angst, forced social agendas, love affairs, and other shit. Certainly the latest Trek TV series couldn't stop itself from a number of infractions.
