Spoilers 31st/32nd Century Ships Revealed

USS Le guin looks like a crab from Starship troppers.
USS Jubayr looks like somebody was playing and learning some 3d package and applyed modiffiers over a polly just to see "where it goes", and presented that vomit as a ship to the producers.
USS Nog looks like a pokemon.
Nivar ships looks like a firefly.
USS Annan looks like a pizza cutter.
USS Voyager-J looks like a bottle openner.

Well, not the best ship concepts in my opinion

IDK if we need ship porn up the wazoo on these shows, but I don't understand why they can't show even halfway decent shots of any of these ships. Bad lighting, seemingly bad CGI. Just blurry passbys for the most part.

We have digital artists here on this board that can do 1000x better looking ships than we're seeing from "TV" shows. Makes no sense.

I'm just posting this because they have some nice enhanced/zoomed images of the ships, if you don't like listening to them just mute and scroll through the video

I was wrong. I thought the Razors were reuses of the Titan raider, but they are clearly new designs. I just wish they’d given us better views of them. I suppose we’ll just have to wait for Eaglemoss to show the renders.

Yes, considering that the ships Starfleet does have are probably 120 years old, since they’re all the same designs that were shown being destroyed by the Burn.
Indeed, this could be made a plot point. Starfleet was unable to construct any new ships post-Burn.
Perhaps as the Federation comes back together, they start building their first new ship: the Enterprise.

I’m guessing that since the ‘New’ Reliant is NCC-1864-M, that the new Enterprise would also be NCC-1701-M.

That would be really cool to see the Enterprise nil in SNW, the Enterprise-F in PIC season 2, and the Enterprise-M in DSC season 4. But that’s probably asking way too much...

Or then the only one that happened to have a full load-up of dilithium at the time...

When we first met them in the TNG era, the Enterprise and the Yamato were out of phase by one letter when their registries were separated by 400 units. The E then caught up, but perhaps the Y also sped ahead?

Was 400 units a generation gap back in the 23rd century, or perhaps two? Never mind, really - it's just that if a ship can "skip a promotion" for a generation or two, we may be speaking of going out of phase by several centuries as we move towards the 32nd century.

Also, perhaps Starfleet burns through letter-adorned starships at a higher rate than the other sort, sending celebrity vessels to hot spots. But perhaps it only sends Enterprises and Yamatos, so a Voyager-J or a Tikhov-M might go hand in hand with Enterprise-W.

Agreed. I've thought this as well. Why would you expend limited resources constructing new ships in a galaxy where dilithium was so rare?

I think it's a fair assumption that the various ships within Starfleet Headquarters are well over a century old. In a very real sense the 900 year old Discovery is the newest of the bunch - in physical terms she's only a few years old.
