Shitloads of all new different designs! No reuses of season 1 production assets! Still wondering why we see a Hiawatha and a Hoover crash!

Nice. I love how utterly alien some of those ships look. If they're all federation ships, it looks like they got a lot more multi-cultural in their ship designs.

Shame that the source vid is gone.

The ‘Four nacelles arrowhead’ ship we actually see on the viewscreen in the second season 3 trailer. From what I can see, the nacelles are actually not attached to the ship and just float on the sides. Teh future!!!

I like how the three lights on the two naceller recalls the TOS Enterprise.

Funny how spindly nacelles are again futuristic, as they were in the original E design, instead of something that needs to be fixed.

The main reason why I think they’re not connected is that the (engines?) on that ship at the beginning of the ‘This season on’ trailer also look like they’re not connected.

The J was 400 years before and had insanely thin pylons and nacelles (no, technology would not necessarily be better or worse whether the sphere builders expand the expanse or not)
Actually I just realized that this is as far away from the J as the J was from the NX-01!

"Detached attachments" aren't all that common. Where else have we seen them in live action shows or movies? Jupiter Ascending? And the pieces of the robot chariot in AI. Cool if DSC dabbles.

I can make out nine different designs. Going from left to right:

    1. Spiky ship with four orange lights
    2. Twirly ship that's taller than it is long
    3. Triangle ship with four nacelles similar to Section 31 ship, nacelles possibly unattached
    4. Flat oval ring ship, possibly Romulan?
    5. Starfleet ship that we've previously seen as wreckage near the listening outpost
    6. Donut ship reminiscent of the "V" mothership
    7. Halo sword ship
    8. Horseshoe shaped ship
    9. Another tall ship, possibly the same one as #2

There are also two or three ships that are really far away; not sure if they're also some of the above or yet more new designs.

    Those ships look weird.

    Excellent.

Yeah, those ships that belong to those bug people also have detached parts. Maybe the Eaglemoss models will have clear parts attaching them all together, or a special stand that does that.
