Voyager is about the same size as the Captains Yacht on Enterprise D.

Riker must have screwed the pooch something awful, to wind up with a ship not much larger than a bath tub.

Just kidding! :) Nah, I don't personally consider it much like TNG besides the fact that they are on a starship with a similar structure. But the circumstances are very different as are the crews interactions with one another. But to each their own. It certainly has similarities.

Yes, oddly wooden first officers come to mind.

I'll give the contest to Frakes. At least his vocal readings were more lively than Beltran's. Sometimes Chakotay would be dull and lifeless for several episodes in a row, perhaps revealing Beltan's loathing of a particular script.

Ah the Titan doesn't look to bad. It's an economy Galaxy class like the Intrepid but cooler.

Totes agree, but at least Chak is a nice man. And also much hotter. And not repulsive. And doesn't bark.

At least Riker didn't subject us to a ridiculous boxing episode.

And he didn't have his own painfully "spiritual" theme music.

    Riker isn't ugly.

    He's just old and fat.

If you go back to season one TNG, before the beard, he's stunning.

    Season one Kirk is stunning.

Riker looks like he should be on a cereal ad or something. Beaming manically.

    Right here buddy.
This has got to be the most derailed thread I've ever read. Buffy, Picard/Riker relationship, Star Wars, cats!?!

I think Riker would have ultimately gotten the crew home though probably not as fast as Janeway. He'd know he'll need Chakotay and merge the crews with him and B'elanna in their respected positions. I almost want to say Tuvok would have been his commander but Chakotay was an instructor for an advanced Starfleet course and Tuvok would be more suited at tactical. I also believe Riker would correct B'els attitude more stricter than Janeway, similar to how he dealt with Ro with the occasional Bat'leth spar. I think Tom would have been an ensign starting off but would have been promoted later on along with Kim. Janeway wasn't really disrespectful to the Doctor but Riker would have been more respectable IMO, with his dealings with Data. Q would have stopped by but I don't think he would be as enamored with Riker as much as he was with Janeway. Q would more likely make fun of him and comment on the fact that if he didn't give up his Q abilities, he'd be home. I don't think Seven of Nine would have made it to the cast. Riker wouldn't have decided to make a deal with the Borg until after he gets caught trying to cross their space in which case he'd comment on how badly Species 8472 is beating them and that he found a way to stop them (Harry would have still been hit by one). We also would have saw at least one deflector beam that he used in Best of Both Worlds part II. We'd probably see Riker, Tom, Kim, and Chakotay play poker. He'd probably split Tuvix, taking Riker for a needs of the many fan. Neelix wouldn't have been the moral officer, simply a guide and later, the cook. I'm assuming Deanna would have been a crew member (with her going with him in Nemesis) and she would have been the ship's counselor/moral officer. Riker would probably let Kes be Kes.

In Eye of the Needle Riker would have sent knock out gas bombs over instead of Test canisters, and then followed it up by a dozen well armed commando's from Voyager's security section.

Riker has had good and bad experience with Romulans, Janeway obviously it seemed hadn't had any.

And they're home. Find an isolated moon, go to sleep for 20 years and they're sorted.

How is Star Trek The Next Generation like 3 gay guys living together looking after too many little girls?

Allow me to select the Riker images, from now on - if the goal is to win people over. Especially the female VOYAGER fans! They just need to be reminded of how cool #1 is, how rugged and manly. Before they even realize it, they'll find themselves being swayed ... you have my assurances.

I'm very worried about your endgame.

Once you've upsidedowneded the 12 or so women's determination of rapey from lovely in this forum, how exactly elaborate are your designs to abuse this misshapen sense of trust towards the grotesque you have created?

If I wanted "cool, rugged and manly" I would be panting for Ensign Ro. She was in the resistance ya know, so when she gives in it actually means something. Unlike some people who are just lurchy, barky, alpha sluts. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you like it, but really dime a dozen.

Shtup her, and you're one degree of genital way from Riker.
