So, do Walkers know how to maintain a Grandfather clock?
I have a Grandfather Clock (well, actually a Grandmother clock) built by my great-uncle and the weights in it need to be lifted every few days otherwise the clock stops. So for the last 18 months/2 years who's been pulling up the weights in this clock?
I thought that was the whole point. The clock was tipped over so it wouldn't run and make any noise. When Daryl set it upright, it started ticking again.
There's this bit in the bible where these two sisters who were quite wary of their biological clocks, but every time they got themselves boyfriends, their father would go on a rampage and kill these young men they were developing feelings for before anything sexy could happen. The girls sick of this, got their father drunk, waited till he passed out and then raped him. They kept doing this until they were both pregnant and try as he might their father could not find and murder his daughters baby daddies who made his grandchildren, so the sisters didn't have to feel guilty about that.
that's what I keep thinking. People should be pairing up way more than they are.All this talk about different ages is moot in a global ZA.
Seriously. When you're the last two people on earth...
Makes you wonder if any of the characters are still carrying a wallet around out of habit.
Well, I don't know about that. As we've learned, being pregnant and giving birth isn't exactly ideal under these conditions. Not to mention crying baby.
Sure, condoms would still be good after a year or two, but how much of a supply are people going to carry around, versus, you know, food? Or a hammer?
^^^ Question: is the Walking Dead appearing in all international markets outside of the US the same week it's a new episode here? If so, that's kind of unprecedented isn't it?
It has been touched upon very briefly with Lori's pregnancy, but in a normal situation, I'd agree. But, with the knowledge that every human dies and comes back as a Walker, as long as the death isn't a traumatic injury to the brain, that complicates things. At some point, these people have to be asking themselves if it's worth the continued fight for survival. With the exception of Glen, the rest of the Season 1-3 cast has no hope that anything will change. And that's assuming Glen is buying Abraham and Eugene's story about Washington.
This.
Actually just stopping the pendulum would suffice, why he continued to let it run is beyond me, the first thought that came to my mind when he up-righted it and it began to tick was is going to start gonging and attract walkers and sure as $#!t that is what happened.

To be fair Daryl's not exactly the kind who'd have seen a lot of grandfather clocks.
^^^ I would think there would be however a massive supply of birth control pills available at most vacant pharmacies for the few living humans left?

Not sure. When Glenn was hunting for "morning after" pills for Lori (season two), he was already active with Maggie, but we never heard him mention getting birth control pills, condoms, etc.. Jump to season four, where Maggie says she is not pregnant. In other words, they have not found any form of birth control during their many trips for supplies.
