I apologize if this movie already has a discussion thread, but I did not find one when I did a search. Anyway, here is the first trailer:

Great teaser. The last 10 seconds or so sent chills up my spine. Caesar in war paint.

I loved the last one, and while I'm still disappointed Rupert Wyatt and James Franco didn't return, I'm really looking forward to this one.

I think I stumbled across a filming set for this. It was in San Francisco. I remember there were a few wrecked cars in the middle of the street.

I really enjoyed the first one, so I'm pretty excited for this.

That was a great teaser. It didn't show a ton (which is to be expected with a teaser) but it has a great tone and look to it.

been a fan of the Apes since i was a kid. Rise was a pleasant surprise. really looking forward to this.

I, too, was pleasantly surprised when I saw the movie for the first time. Is there a third film planned?

there hasn't been any talk about a third film yet...but if it makes a lot of money i'm sure they will make another.

And it will be called; Day of the Planet of the Apes.

The fourth will be called; Twlight of the Planet of the Apes.

Then it will be Darkness of the Planet of the Apes.

Wouldn't a third film pretty much have to be a remake of the original POTA film? Seems kind of inevitable.

I was saying the same thing on another forum. I don't know if it will be the third film but if they keep going you would think they would eventually have to remake the original.

Part of me would love to see that but then on the other hand the 68 original is such a sci-fi classic part of me wishes they would leave it alone.

Although, it's interesting in that the original war between apes and humans - which led to the original film as we saw it - apparently did not happen until the 25th or 26th centuries. So perhaps things could go differently this time around.
