The Gods or God

Any theories? Could there be a spider God or a fire God?

I said somewhere else, am I a man thinking of a butterfly, or a chicken or a spider or anything, or are any or all those things dreaming of a man? It's an ancient chinese saying.

Are there any multi-theistic religions?

What about the Metrons et al. = the higher life forms. Who are they?

Kirk seems to be a Humanist aethiest or agnostic. He just barges in on the girl in church who lost her husband in Balance of Terror, without actually acknowledging the alter or where he is. He had more respect for the flag.

McCoy said we represent many beliefs.

Then what was she staring at, the wall? Maybe she was looking out a window? She was looking up like we all do but I guess there was no cross there even. Maybe it was a UFP flag?

Technically, Wesley is a god, he created that entire nanobot race in "Evolution".:techman:
I'd like to see how those fellows turned out. :)

We might all be created as a did effect of something else too.

I get the impression the prophets' relationship to Bajor is a side effect of their existence.

"multu-theistic?" That like "polytheistic?" Since there already are polytheistic religions on Earth, I'd say there's a good possibility that there are ones on other worlds.

From statements, Kirk would appear to be mono-theistic. Perhaps a Christian Humanist then?

There was a cross, along with other symbols, on the wall behind the podium.

He very obviously "acknowledges" the symbols on the wall behind the podium, prior to leaving the ship's chapel.

One of the symbols, or all of them?

Vulcans, at least Spock's family, are polytheistic in the episode Yesteryear. Which was animated of course.

Or a Muslim Technocrat. Or a Mahayana Buddhist. For all we know, Kirk finds Himself sufficient! Although I rather think there would have been time and incentive to come up with an all-new exclusive God who'd be compatible with the new truths about life, the universe and everything.

Many attributes of Kirk came directly from Shatner, looks, mannerisms, voice, etc.

So would that make Kirk a Jew?

:)

After the third world war, the America mid-west became Canada's new Southern Province.
