So you got to meet Slick Willie? I've always said, if I owned a car dealership, I'd want that guy in my lead sales spot.

I've met Bill Clinton twice. Once in 2008 when he campaigned in Roanoke for Barack Obama and again in 2009 when he made another swing through my town on behalf of VA gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe. He's an even more impressive speaker in person than he is on television. And yes...he looks exactly like you'd expect Bill Clinton to look. :) Big head. White kinky hair. Big red nose. And the guy has the perfect hands for playing a piano...long, slender fingers. He doesn't have the firmest handshake in the world, but he looks you dead in the eye, smiles and puts you at ease when you talk with him.

So today it was a freezing day, London-wise, but oh so sunny. I picked up my camera and went for a walk. Ended up in St. James Park, among other places, and while I was walking away from Buckingham Palace, I ran into this guy.

Damn, is that the PM?

I bet he cuddles and whispers in your ear.

Just sayin'. :shifty:

Well...he did ask if I had a sister. And slipped me the phone number to his personal limo.

You wouldn't happen to have that number, would you? It's for a school project/TV repair/pizza order. :shifty:

The Secret Service beat the shit out of me and took it back.

Sorry.:ouch:

*sigh*

I never get to visit the President's Limo™. :(
I swear to god, Bill Clinton should open up a strip joint and call it the President's Limo, or the Oval Orifice or something.

Oh wait, we're in the picture thread aren't we? Um...

Did I ever show you guys that picture where I had to attack our toilet?

FightingtheMightyToilet.jpg

Maybe I did, but hey. There ya go. Relevance.

I once had a major backup in my toilet. I needed the jaws of life, two jackhammers and special NASA equipment to unblock that sucker. That's the last time I spend all night sitting at Taco Bell with a friend.

I've met him too, a couple times actually. Had a conversation with him as well. That's the same thing I felt about him, and that he's a very intelligent person as well.

I absolutely love those PJs. I wish they came in adult sizes!

The bones glow in the dark too!

The Seeker's pics are great. Love 'em.

Although I must confess to being a bit shocked that nobody has made any nasty comments about his Stephen Harper photo. In other threads, just alluding to Stephen Harper is enough to start a long chain of posts about what an authoritarian, stuck-up and/or creepy douchebag he is.

In my defence, I only met him because it was work related. :p

No, but I met the PM (Leader of the Opposition as he was then) in a greasy spoon cafe a few years ago. IIRC, he was waiting for a helicopter; I was waiting for a car. Different strokes...

Told him to win the election, and then cut my taxes. Still waiting for my extra-special tax refund...

Niorah, does this snap make you a fully-signed up member of the paparazzi now? :D

I haven't met Clinton, but I did meet Monica Lewinsky once. She refused to answer questions as to whether she felt the same way...

Prince Charles it is. ;)

I applaud your restraint. I would have probably asked to meet his daughter in law. ;) :guffaw:

It's probably a good thing you didn't get sucked into a conversation with him. From what I've heard he has a near-obsession with topics such as architecture and agriculture and loves getting into talks and debates about them both. That'd be one pretty dry discussion to have on a street corner in London.

Good thing he isn't a Star Trek fan.;)

Oh, if that were the case I'd happily shoot myself five minutes into the conversation. ;)
