Terra Nova season one 09/26/11:

Yes.

There's a gun pointed at the back of my head as we type.

And it is Terra Nova who has its finger on the trigger telling me how to live my life

As dopey as the show is, I have to say I still find it strangely enjoyable to watch for some reason.

I definitely wouldn't miss it if it were gone... but if it DOES come back I'll still continue watching.

Agreed

Caprica, I mostly enjoyed, (alot of people say they suffered through it), and SGU, I suffered through most of the first season and a half, but, really enjoyed most of Season 2 second half. (Yet some enjoyed SGU from the beginning)

For me, I'd put Terra Nova with Caprica, rather than SGU, it's not great, but, is entertaining enough, and with some changes, could be pretty dang good. Won't think much about it, if it doesn't get renewed (Unless there's a really intriguing Clffhanger :( ), but, I welcome the opportunity for them to retool and try again, should it get renewed.

Holy crap. That season finale was amazing, and the revelation at the end is just what I wanted. I swear if this is cancelled I will rage.

I agree. Although I'm a bit annoyed at the mini-rest button at the end with everybody back in Terra Nova who should be there and the Phoenix Group as the new Sixers, but that was bound to happen in the season premiere anyway (if they got another season).

However, I did enjoy the cliffhanger though that will depend on what the answer turns out to be (if we get one). I also like that they blew up Hope Plaza and are now stuck on Terra Nova with no connection to 2149. That was one of the things that bugged me about the show as it made everything too easy, so I'm glad they fixed that.

Knowing Spielberg
the Badlands will be the place where the ships and planes that disappear in the Bermuda Triangle end up.

And I will love it.

I never meant to watch this show, but my brother was watching it, and I kinda got into it. It is pretty Star Trekky in a way, which I actually like.

As for the revelation at the end, maybe it means there's another way to the past?

Yep, my thoughts exactly. The only thing I'm curious about is
if the new portal is connected to the 2149 or some time in the past.

It is probably persistent throughout history.

Now I know how jack's mum felt when he came home with 5 beans.

I fascinated by the levels too which I am disappointed by the conclusion of this series even after lowering the bar every week till this callow still born wet fart which could make gold medallist from the Limbo Olympics graze his balls in an attempt to slither under it's standards, attempted to d...

Nurse Ogawa?

I loved her on TNG.

The Bad lands

I loved them on DS9.

A T-Rex Running free on the cargo deck

I loved that on Red Dwarf

And when Sisko blowed up the wormwhole but it turned out to be a dream..

I was expecting Aliens, Roswell shit in that container. But refuge from the Bermuda Triange? Fuck that. Talk about completely in actionable information.

So... Why the frak didn't they just pony up the 15 dollars necessary to crack into the licensing realm of land of the Lost and have a tied up fucking Sleestak in that container?

Elements of Neverland, the shitty miniseries from 2 weeks ago, are poking through if there are pirates wandering about in the past too.

That was preternaturally mediocre.

I liked it! I'm glad they cut the cord to 2149(?) finally.

I'm interested to see where the show goes next. Hopefully it will be back.

Oops! I almost forgot to stroke Guy Gardeners ego by saying how witty he is! :p :guffaw:

It may have all been worth it for the shot of the carno chasing Shannon down the scaffolding with flames boiling all around. That really pleased my inner child.

Lots of other, less enjoyable cliches, though.

The evil son and the evil industrialist may as well have had handlebar mustaches and said "MWA-hahaaa" with every line.

Thought it was awesome, but can't believe Taylor fell for the ol' "Daddy forgive me!" hug trick.
If I were him, as soon as Lucas started with the waterworks, I'd be "You killed 26 of my people, and executed my Second. I never had a son. BLAM!"

Hey if Skywalker had thought of it, he wouldn't have lost his right hand.

I don't know which act was more unconvincing, little Taylor crying to daddy, or Skye flipping sides and flirting with little Taylor. In terms of characters, they were both obvious acts, but I will admit little Taylor did a slightly better job of convincing me. I give credit to Ashley Zukerman for the more believable performance.

Is is me, or did anyone else imediatly think of Star Trek: Enterprise Zero Hour when Archer was running down the platform in slow motion as the weapon was blowing up around him.. Ah Braga.. the more things change the more they stay the same..lol

I was thinking about Call To Arms on DS9. Except they blew up the wormhole instead of mining it with cloaked self replicating mines. And then they skipped to the end of Sacrifice of Angels rather than having a couple episodes with Taylor out of the settlement.
