Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoilers

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

So how did the UK handle the Sally/Danny conflict resolution?

Since vampires turn to dust when they die, shouldn't Bishop have noticed he didn't actually kill Aiden?

In the UK version Annie could be seen if she was confident enough, she confronted Owen tried to make him confess and he laughed at her, asked if that's all she had and left, later George and Mitchell confronted him and revealed who/what they are, and then Annie whispered something in his ear, something we don't hear, presumably about what waits after death and he goes in to a panic and turns himself in for protection from the ghosts, werewolves and vampires.

Didn't expect Sally's door to appear. I can't wait to see what excuse or development they'll use to keep her around. That door is pretty final or at least it seems that way.

Also, Aidan's fling looked like Minka Kelly at first. Didn't recongnize her as Laurence Leboeuf, who I've seen before.

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

Maybe they'll handle it similar to Dead Like Me and she'll turn into a feral Graveling.

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

I think Bishop will know that Aiden hasn't been killed. Apparently the only way to get into a house where you haven't been invited is to have somebody throw you through the window. So he took his best shot, missed the mark and had to get out before he disintegrated or whatever.

Sally is cute even when zombified. :rommie:

They took a bit of license there, in the UK version he basically stabbed him when he opened the door which worked within the "rules" a little better but wasn't quite so dynamic.

I wonder how long it'll take Bishop to heal from violating the magical "invitation" rule, or what the extent of damages are for breaking such a rule.

Couldn't he have just gotten a human to do it for him?

Wouldn't a human be too slow and weak? If a vampire can just break that rule without serious complications then they should be grabbing victims that way all the time. He will heal and be A-okay pretty fast. So he can jump in to a house, grab a happy meal(screaming victim), and jump outside with the victim to run off to wherever he pleases.

It just wouldn't be worth it most of the time. There are plenty of easier Happy Meals available. Bishop obviously has a serious grudge going now....

Yeah, that was pretty dynamic. :D

lol & here i thought it was the light from Sally's door than was making him burn...but then it would have burned Aiden too.

did anyone think Aiden with 70's hair looked like Bill from True Blood?

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

That's true, I didn't think of that. But I did notice that Bishop and Aiden together reminded me of Starsky & Hutch. :rommie:

Accordin' to Meaghan Rath's Twitter (and I double checked the program guide), SyFy will be runnin' an all day marathon of Being Human on Monday. They'll start with the series premiere, and run all the way up to the season finale.

Cool. I'll leave my cable box on to add my vote to the ratings.

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

I must have missed something in the past couple of episodes.. I thought Aiden had agreed to return to the family.. Why is/was Bishop gunning for him now? Guess I can go back and watch...

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

^Because he didn't agree with the decisions Bishop was making, especially towards the elders.

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

Thanks. ^^

Wow.. Cranky Bishop is cranky...

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

Plus that when Bishop tried to kill all the Elders, Aiden betrayed him and saved one of them, who is now planning to destroy Bishop.

Re: Being Human - American remake on SyFy - Season 1 discussion & spoi

I just watched the latest epsiodes of Being Human UK and Being Human USA and it was odd to find that in one respect the US version has caught up with the UK.
Nina and Nora are both pregnant and the pregnancy are happening an accelerated rate. Which is okay for Nina, she's a werewolf. Nora's just human, which might be a problem.

Celine reappears; Sally and Josh try to help Aidan.

Looks like the proverbial cat is out of the bag in this one and Nora finds out whats going on. Can't wait!
