Gonzaga was ugly today. They looked like a bunch of kids come for a pick-up game. No offensive rhythm. For the most part they just passed around the perimeter and then missed a three-pointer. Syracuse could do no wrong today. If they get that center of theirs back next week, I'm not sure they can be stopped.

At this point I want GT to beat Ohio State. I won't feel nearly as bad.
To feel like my team got beaten by a team that was much better than I originally thought.
Oh well. So much for that plan.

Did anybody watch the Michigan St / Maryland game today? The last 90 seconds was some of the most exciting back-n-forth I've seen in a very long time.

I saw it. Good game. And Purdue who was supposed to lose to Siena makes it to the sweet sixteen via an overtime win over Mizzou.
I got 11/16 teams in my bracket. Not too shabby...
I had Purdue losing to Siena, because of their star's injury and because of Siena's past couple of tournaments. So it's way cool to see them wining these games without Hummel. Against a team like A&M with their strength inside, they could have used Hummel's deadly outside range.
I am really loving this tournament!
I have 9 of the 16, and have already lost two of my Elite 8. It's a wonder I'm still tied for first. My max points is rather low though, so I figure that will change after next weekend. Good tournament so far.

Huskies leading by two at halftime. Neither team seems to have gotten into their own style. Quincy's three fouls are a bad omen though. The refs are calling a lot more offensive fouls than normal. I still think the Huskies can pull it out though.

There was more than one bad call that went against the Huskies this time, but by ten minutes to go they seemed tired and lost. They made it farther than anyone expected though.
Ehh... bad calls made no difference in the Washington/WVU game. Truth be told, I thought Washington would win, since WVU's point guard had been lost due to injury. Even so, WVU seemed exceptionally sharp and well focused on the game and what they had to do. Washington never gave in, but at times seemed to make some questionable plays. It wasn't a pretty game for either team.
You have got to be kidding me on this double overtime Xavier/KSU game. I want to shoot Xavier for making those clutch threes, dammit! Go away and die already, Xavier!
