Major League Baseball 2009

This Tigers/Twins game is incredible! Detroit's 3rd-baseman just made a probable game-saving play at third to get it to two outs in the bottom of the 9th.

I'm not a fan of either team, though I could be. They play the fundamentals so well. That's how this game has gone. Sure there have been mistakes, but it's the fundmentals that have bailed them out.

Now it's in the 12th inning!

The Twins reliever just struck out the Tigers batter on full count, bases loaded, 2 outs.... shortly after they nailed a runner at home. This game is everything you want in a baseball game!

Heck of a game. Disappointing, as I thought the Tigers might have a better chance at knocking off the Yankees, but it's gonna be tough for either team, having spent so much energy in this game...

just changed the channel and they didn't yet. However the Tiger's pitcher should not still be pitching, why is he still in the game his 4th inning?!

Stupid fucking ass Tigers! I hate you Tigers!!!!

Two years ago. Padres and Rockies

The twins also had to play the White Sox last year in a play-in game.

Man that game was exciting in extras. Gotta feel sorry for Detroit, but if this is going to be what we can expect in the Postseason, it's going to be a hell of a ride.

That was a great game. I missed innings 3-7 because of class, but was able to Gamecast it since I had class in a computer lab. I stuck around campus to watch the rest of the game.

It's a serious bummer that the Tigers lost. They played well enough to win, but couldn't come through in the clutch like the Twins could. If you missed the game, it really was one of the best baseball games I've ever watched. It had everything. Even though I don't get to see the Tigers play a series in the playoffs, at least I got to experience one Tigers playoff game this year. And it was a good one.

Now the real postseason starts. Congrats on the win Peg.

It was good to see the Twins win.

The Tigers didn't deserve it after the way they choked these last couple weeks.

I'm not sure it's fair to say they didn't deserve to win. Yes, they struggled down the stretch, but the Twins only finished one game better than the Tigers.

It couldn't have gotten any closer than that. Porcello pitched a great game- as soon as it came down to the bullpens, I thought the Twins were toast.

Would've like to have been there, but I had a blast watching the game on TV at the bar(s). We're trying once again to get tickets, but I think we may have to go the scalping route.

The Twins went through just about all of their pitchers, and that may come back to haunt them. I'm almost glad they'll have to face Sabathia first. Might as well get that one out of the way and regroup for the next game.

Wow, what a game! It was even on at a normal hour!

For all the people where baseball was pretty meaningless for them in September, this was a great game to reel us back in.

I thought both teams had it won several times.

Like when Polanco was hit with the bases loaded, and not awarded a base (11th inning?) Just brushed the jersey, but obviously hit him...
