^The ones I feel for are the ones who he used to remind when shows were on... Now they will miss good TV.
I'd hardly call it callous. Its a Halloween name. I'm sure Bob didn't mean for it to be taken that way.Yeah. It's really callous.
The only reason it makes me mad is because I care about people. I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
As to you continuing posting... I don't know when you post! I went into this thread expecting other folks to be the ones posting, not you.
The health spa and family party sound like tempting ideas. Or go and see your favourite comedian wherever they may be gigging.Oh, I forgot to mention after seeing the cardiologist the nurse asked if she could have a word with me. Apparently the hospital work with a charity who arrange "special days" for seriously ill people, and they've been asked to nominate more people, and she said with the year I've had she thinks I deserve it, so she's putting my name forward...
The website of the charity gives these examples of things you could choose:
Well now I seem to be having a serious lack of imagination, because I can't think of anything I want to do that I couldn't really do myself. Or things coming to mind are a bit above the sort of thing on this list and take more than a day.
- A flight in a helicopter or hot air balloon
- A day's motor racing (could include tuition in racing cars, off-road driving or rally)
- Tickets to a major sporting event e.g. premiership football, rugby, tennis etc
- Multi-activity day e.g. horse-riding, shooting, inflatables, go-karting etc
- A sporting activity of your choice (e.g. sailing, golf etc) with tuition if required
- Tickets to a West End show, pop concert, comedy club or exhibition
- Dinner at a restaurant of your choice
- Day at an amusement park (e.g. Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures)
- Day trip on the Orient Express
- Family trip to Center Parcs
- Overnight country or city break
- Tour of London (could include a trip on the River Thames and/or a flight on the London Eye)
- Tickets for a city event e.g. The Edinburgh Tattoo
- Day of pampering at a health spa
- Special dinner party prepared by a private chef in your own home
- Family party (could include catering and entertainment as required)
Also, I hate things like this because I always feel like I'm not deserving enough... no that sounds wrong, more like I think there are people who are more deserving.
And although I'm thankful for the offer, I don't know whether to take it, or what to ask for if I do...
I will just have to learn to use google alerts.^The ones I feel for are the ones who he used to remind when shows were on... Now they will miss good TV.

As I said before, I'd be more worried if Bob stopped posting.Hmm, well aside from the fact that I follow The Skutter on twitter, and knew him to be alive and tweeting, I confess I am astonished that anyone here really thought T'Bonz would use that as a method of informing the community of a loss amongst us. You guys really don't know her, do you.
And yeah, Bob, set your location to Not. Dead. ok?
But Frankie won't be there. For the special day, I'd ask for something really difficult that you might not be able to organise for yourself, like being in the audience for 'Mock the week' or something.![]()
Bob The Skull is one that came to mind, should I change my name, in the past. Great character in Dresden Files, though I don't have his love of romance novels. On the other hand, a username change to Bob The Skull or something might be useful?![]()
You know, I've never heard of The Dresden Files, let alone anyone called Bob who had a skull.Bob The Skull is one that came to mind, should I change my name, in the past. Also, a name change would be up to T'Witchy and I aint asking while she's busy with so many others...![]()
He's better in the books than the series though, even if he doesn't have a body...You know, I've never heard of The Dresden Files, let alone anyone called Bob who had a skull.Bob The Skull is one that came to mind, should I change my name, in the past. Once again, the power of Ravescene compels someone to do something!OK, I've asked for the username to be changed to Bob The Skull in order to avoid any more undue concern.

Not after thinking it over, but I can certainly see a gut reaction to it.Hmm, well aside from the fact that I follow The Skutter on twitter, and knew him to be alive and tweeting, I confess I am astonished that anyone here really thought T'Bonz would use that as a method of informing the community of a loss amongst us. Thanks, but I've been out for over 2 months now. This thread is is from July. I was in for 2 and a bit weeks, followed by outpatients treatment for 4 and then blood cultures every week for another 4.OMG, Bob, I'm so sorry. I hope you're in a good hospital with experienced cardiologists.
Well that means I'll have to come up with something... the list I posted is of examples not the only choices.Hey, Bob, I'm another one who had a momentary double take at the deceased name. Glad you're all fine and dandy. Take the special treat day, you deserve it - if for nothing else other than the great updates you give us all around here on the ins and outs of UK tv. I know there'd be loads of stuff I'd miss if you didn't give us a heads up.![]()
Wait till they start filming the next trek film and ask if they could get you on set.Well that means I'll have to come up with something... the list I posted is of examples not the only choices.Hey, Bob, I'm another one who had a momentary double take at the deceased name. Speaking on UK TV, I guess I've got a thread to update...
